I thank Saleem bhai for providing this incredible 1975 recording of this ghazal, penned by Janab Nasir Kazmi. Ustad Mehdi Hassan Khan Saab has like always made it unforgettable! At this point it will be unjust if I don't mention Ustad Pir Baksh - Tabla Nawaz, I personally haven't heard anyone play so beautifully on a ghazal.. and the incredible Ustad Mohammed Hussain accompanying Khan Saab on the Harmonium.

There's a natural symphony ongoing in the atmosphere and Khan sahab's musical voice gets blended in it beautifully.

Kya roohaniyat hai raag Bhihag mein. Aawaz mein soz , Shayeri, ustad Peer Baksh sahib ke table mein golaiyan aur Harmonium ki sanjeedagi. Zabardast ghazal ka mahaul to phir ustad Mehdi Hassan sahib hi banate hain .❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Delighted to listen to this magnificent treat in the soulful voice of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab, all over again ; ofcourse in a different orientation altogether ! What a beautiful composition it was ! How soulfully did the great Khan Saab perform it ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! "Bahut Hi Sukun Mila Sunkar !" It's always gratifying to listen to the great Mehdi Hassan Saab, while he was performing live, owing to his lively interaction with the audience and inimitable style of gayiki ! He had an uncanny ability to catch the imagination of the listeners, while performing, and carry them with the rhythm, owing to his magical voice and style of gayiki ! What's so special with the great Khan Saab was the fact that he could render the tragic and romantic nuances of the Urdu couplets with equal proficiency and consummate ease ! Agonies and ecstasies of life got fully reflected in his renditions ! Thankful for AMS Studios for having provided this opportunity ! Look forward to listen to many more of such rare and melodious stuff in the days to come !
