It looks to me like he was having some sort of issue with the bass pedal. You can see him fiddling with it when they all stop playing at 2:23. It sounds normal after that.

@@JoelSagemy God people are dumb. Clearly something went wrong. You can see him messing with the pedal. The whole band is looking so they can try to manage whatever is going on until it's fixed. They just added this drummer and he's clean in other videos.
