This is all good but for me wasnt proven on the highest level .But when he played last months against France in Paris and the french have some very good and some proven players on the pitch and he looked on class of his own and better than all of them i understand that this player is real quality .We never know but he may reach the highest level for midfielder even .Let's see if he can keep fit .It reminded me of Griezmann on his best with France in 2018 where he was for me their most important player .And he only 20 .

wasnt proven for you cause you didn;t look. And I don't mean youtube clips. There are a lot of arguments why this guy is not a joke. For example, his stats that were incredible from the very beginning and now they are outstanding. His influence on the game. That deep understanding of the football itself and the skill to create space for teammates are both very remarkable when you are watching his games. The easiest question was: why he is unproven, if Wirtz literally has begun a career in Bundesliga at 17yo scoring against Noyer. "unproven" hyped kid would not be able to become KEY player and a midfield leader at fucking 17 years old. And the first impression of Florian was about that pure confidence based outstanding football intellect combined with sharp tech skills and ability to take responsibility. Yah, that was also about a yeasterday teenager.

Honestly bro, we should get De Jong instead, he can play in a double pivot with Declan Rice and as an asset to Odegaard in our midfield, Wirtz would be great to but what would end up happening would be Odegaard would have to fall back to play 8 instead which would be fine but if you want to maximise the use of each player & in each position De Jong in the double pivot with Rice & Odegaard at CAM would be best Edit: Wirtz at 8 could work as-well because of the way he can drive with the ball & he’s about as creative as it gets (in general terms) but you lose out on some physicality & defensive attributes that I think are essential to the balance of that midfield (don’t want it too ‘top heavy’ in attack or defence, De Jong in a double pivot will give us more balance than Wirtz will as a left 8 or CAM)
