As someone who's worked on many KZfaq productions, it took me a second to really appreciate your weatherman style setup and how interactive it allows you to be with your media. When you pointed right to the contacts on the adapter I thought "hold up... That was too smooth." 😆

😂😂 Thanks, Alex. I’ve been thinking to make more outdoors for a looooong time. But I don’t live in California or Greece, where the sun shines every single day and every time I want to go out and shoot, I think nahhhh, not good enough 😂. I still plan an outdoor series because I see that people like them more.

Ha,ha, easy with that excitement. He made it sound so easy about the picture stacking when in fact it is not. It is not an app, it is a computer software and it is not free. And nobody said it is easy to use, you really have to know what you are doing.

Thank you so much! I need to say though that this video is mostly about magnification. It does show that the sharpness isn’t on par with other solutions and that you lose light with some tools. Plus: no doubt a dedicated lens is more convenient. But: it definitely can be done and not everyone wants to spend money on a dedicated macro lens.

@@wolfamri It definitely looked like a fun subject to be taking photos of. Personally I never had macro photography peak my interest. My auto accident from three years ago is forcing me to buy new equipment. The car started on fire with all of my gear in the backseat! I held off for so many years just using a cell phone, which is nice for traveling light. I have several collectible coins stored away just waiting to be photographed… An example would be “The divine comedy Paradiso 5 Oz coin” I would like to get some macro shots but haven’t decided how I’ll set it up. I’m not sure if you use Instagram but my thought is to post the photo in sections. When you go to my profile you would see 1 photo taking up 9 tiles. Then I would post a photo with the coin by itself including the reverse. If you catch my drift anyways…Might be something to make a video on if you haven’t already. Take care
@wolfamri
@wolfamri 2 жыл бұрын
Wow, I just googled that coin. That looks fantastic. But with that size it wouldn’t require extreme macro. For instagram you can easily crop. Most important will be the lighting 😉.

@moderndaypirate8931 2 жыл бұрын
@@wolfamri lighting is definitely key, I need a more controlled environment before I mess with it. I’m going to be extremely careful taking photos. Then I will ship it to NGC and have it graded/encapsulated. Makes it easier to sell and it will be better protected. Just won’t have the option to take it outside the capsule after I go that route.

For my Nikon I bought the Fotodiox reverse ring aperture control so I can easily control the aperture on the fly as well as a reverse ring and reverse ring camera mount so I can use two lenses with one properly attached to the camera while the other is fitted in reverse to the end of the lens. This gives some electronic light metering and focus to the rig. Works great for me. I also have had no problem with focus stacking in Photoshop. Great video ... Cheers

The Laowa shot is also by far my favorite (and I'm hardly influenced by having picked up the same lens on a different mount). There are two additional options for setting the aperture - one is a quite expensive connector from Novoflex, the other is using an older lens with a manual macro ring on it.

@@wolfamri you’re welcome! And also can you please link the tokina 11-16 mm for canon? I am going to be ordering them soon and I don’t want to get anything wrong. Please and thank you in advance!!

With please. But the t7i seems a bit overpriced at the moment. What is your budget and what would you mainly like to photograph?
@Compilationsdotcom1
@Compilationsdotcom1 7 ай бұрын
@@wolfamri I believe the 800D t7i is around 1000+ which is already in my add to cart. My budget is around 2k-2.5k. My goal is to make extremely close photograph then zooming out. I think the set up you have mentioned here is my go to.
@wolfamri
@wolfamri 7 ай бұрын
So when you say zooming out, your intention is to have one shot extremely close, and a second (or more in between) that show the complete subject. I don't think the 11-16mm will give you that flexibility. Sorry for asking so many questions, but I don't want to give you a wrong recommendation. What exactly do you have in mind? If it is confidential, you can contact me in a different way. I swear I dont't have enough time to copy your idea 🤣.
