What kind of meds doesn't matter, IMO. If she needs antipsychotic meds in order to act in a lawful way, she needs to be in a facility, not in public where she is a danger to others.

You're not wrong. She's responsible for her actions, to be sure, but I think most people are incapable of empathy until they're put into a situation where they're the ones being jerked around. The example you used is perfect. PERFECT. The pandering to illegals, over citizens, makes the injustices feel even more intentional. The pharmacy and insurance fvckery is definitely a high stress situation, particularly if it's for a medication that you need.

Lol! She could've "just paid cash," or went around her insurance company... You've probably never had to leave a prescription you needed at the pharmacy, but I have. The price I was told I could pay for one of my prescriptions was over 800. USD. Trying the good Rx did not make it affordable. God bless you, having that kind of money to just pay cash for your medicine! I had to go back and forth with my insurance and pharmacy. Equally untrue is having the cash to pay for a prescription (!!!) and being unable to have it filled, with a script, because insurance. I realize that made no sense, and I said as much, but it didn't matter; the pharmacist was playing god that day,so I had to wait and try different shifts. Point is, it's easy to be glib or condescending when you've not been made privy to all the details, or when you're the kind of person that "details" don't apply to. Its easy to be condescending when you've never been in situations where you're at the mercy of someone else. There's no context in the video - just know the woman had been waiting for her prescription, had to play telephone with insurance, then told to get up on outta there. She's responsible for her actions. But that's the extent of information we get.

​@@BattleMage52 Working at the pharmacy for about 6 years, I would say this can be potentially attributed to a variety of reasons. Reasons can range from medical conditions, work life balance creating a great amount of stress + medical conditions, medication side effects, and or can be dire medical diagnoses (such as stage 4 cancer / being diagnosed with many ailments that makes you unable to be a typical functioning human being to survive, etc.) I can't tell you how many occasions I have seen perfectly normal citizens from years prior, struggling to get by and that still they're acting normal at the time. But as life goes on, they're medical condition worsens, the life struggles can be worse, stress, medical costs always goes up by ridiculous amounts (I've seen medications that would cost $10 go to thousands.), etc. This eventually leads to sometimes very problematic behavior out in public near the pharmacy. I will see children running up and down the isles crying for us to give their mothers their medications, screaming that their mother is dying, fighting each other at the store, etc. I will see normal people we used to know, go to extreme lengths of jumping the pharmacy counters because life struggles gets rough when they need surgery, life saving treatments, etc. and they try everything they can to survive, like selling their house to afford treatments, attempting to rob us, etc. That may be true, and is very sad but we live in a society where the healthcare industry profits off of people's suffering / death. Because there is always a profit incentive, and the healthcare sector is the most egregious form of one, things like this eventually happens.

It's funny, I have been all over the country ( rural and urban areas) and when I leave a Walmart I hold up my receipt and I am never stopped to look at it. I'm a 50 year old guy and that may be it.

Illegal to ask to see your receipt because it hurts your feelings? That's ridiculous and part of what's wrong with this country today. It's not like they're frisking you. Shoplifters cause prices to go up to make up for losses in revenue. If you aren't stealing, there's nothing to worry about.
