I can totally relate to what she’s talking about. I never had a NDE but I understand the negative thoughts a lot of us have. I’m 56 years old and I grew up in the 70s and 80s with a learning disability. I was called useless and stupid all the time back then. I heard it from other kids and teachers and from my own family members. Everything in my life was negative. I thought of myself as a total joke that would never make anything of myself. I took these negative thoughts into my adulthood and guess what? Because I was so negative on myself nothing positive happened to me. I just kept failing and hating the world for everything that’s happened to me. Well about three years ago I found spirituality (not religion) and I found a way to love myself and forgive people that hurt me. Right away I started feeling and seeing a major difference in me!! My self esteem got better. Better people started coming into my life. Better things started happening to me. I was attracting all this positive energy into my life. I absolutely believe that God or source energy had something to do with my transformation. Is my life perfect? No but it’s a heck of a lot better. I like who I am now. I have peace now.

I'm 60, so i know exactly the time you grew up in. I saw the way some kids treated other kids who were a bit different. People can be SO cruel. When they d1e, they will see how what they did and said to you made you feel. They will feel it from YOUR point of view. Hopefully that will make them into better people next go round. I worked with people with disabilities like Autism, etc, and got a great appreciation of just how fantastic people with disabilities are. YOU are awesome. Never forget that.

When you talked about laying under the glorious tree, I thought of a moving story in the book, "Man's search for meaning" by Victor Frankl. In the book, he is a doctor in a "hospital" ward at Auschwitz. He was caring for a young woman who was dying and wrote, "This young woman knew she would die in the next few days. But when I talked to her she was cheerful in spite of this knowledge... Pointing to the window of the hut, she said, "This tree here is the only friend I have in my loneliness." Through the window she could see one branch of the chestnut tree, on that branch were two blossoms. "I often talk to this tree," she said. Anxiously, I asked her if the tree replied. She said, "Yes, it said, I am here, I am here, I am life - eternal life."

Rumination is truly one of the worst things and we must train ourselves not to ruminate. My grandson was very young when he started to ruminate on things. We thought it was humorous until one day I realized, these are real anxieties for him…he is ruminating. I told my daughter and gave her an article on the effects of rumination and the importance of training yourself not to ruminate. He is doing much, much better, rocking middle school and is quite happy.

That was a good tip. We are all affected by Russia/ Ukraine, Gaza/ Israel, extremism, political unrest. Thinking about these issues does not contribute to any solution and affects us as individuals, which affects the people around us and drives negativity. Just send love, wishes of strength, peace of mind and positive wisdom. I am trying this from now on. We can change ourselves, our surroundings and the world! 😊 We cannot let inhumane negative win the upper hand. ❤to you all.

I didn't have an NDE. But after years of depression where I didn't want to live anymore, I asked for help "upwards" and without believing in it, my entire life turned around 180 degrees. Which of course can only mean that I then felt incredibly happy. I also knew that we have invisible helpers because I asked and was really helped. I then practiced silent meditation with the aim of coming into telepathic contact with my spirit guides. That was in 2012 and since then communication has gotten better and better and today I have long been connected to the spiritual world and in communication at every moment. So you don't have to have NDE, you just have to have the free will (heart's desire) to make this contact and do something about it. It's best to practice silent meditation, as this is of course necessary as they are quite quiet at first. 🙂💕 ☀️

That is true and a fact, that negative thoughts are coming from outside of ourselves. I am able to see what we call spirit, if you don't know that what exists after this experience, I am referring to all of us, every human being is a spirit after the death of the body we exist, since we are all different, what exists here after the death of the body will and does exist after. If an individual was nasty here and dies does not mean it will get wings, this individual will still be nasty, all the experience the personality of that individual will still be part of it, no one gains wings after the death of the body!!!

Hi Barbara, I believe you hit the nail on the head regarding the meanings behind NDE's. The NDE experience is about the individual having it. Every individual is on their own personal spiritual journey. What I get out of and learn from 'my' experience is for 'me.' Even though the overall message from the other side and experience is all about love & light, you have been given a message that no one will ever understand but YOU. I also believe all this earthly stuff we learned and picked up will mostly be left behind when that cord is cut and we truly move on till the next journey. Great message Barbara. 😊

Sorry that you had it hard. I find your comment intriguing because I was thinking along the same lines while listening to Barbara. Am I allowed to bring an expression of my pain before the world? Or does that go against the imperative of having to be positive? Where would human creativity land without thoughts of dissatisfaction and expressions of criticism? Any change involves those acts as prerequisite, even when it comes to self improvement. So I try to believe that positivity should not be understood trivially, but as investment in improving things. Writing a book, however sad, painful or angry should fit the bill.

Thank you for this. De-looping negative thoughts and replacing them with better ones is a nice way to stop the negativity. As you put it - what you resist persists. So we can stop saying negative things even if the surface value is negative and we can realize that everything in the universe is one. And that a positive outlook is a way to neutralize the situation - not to make something negative positive, and not to ignore how the stuff that feels bad feels that way....but instead, to re-write the narrative. For example, perhaps your enemies are not your enemies. They're just another aspect of our world, our family, or universe that have their own valid perspective. And that their perspective doesn't have to dictate how you feel. It doesn't have to loop in your mind how it may have in the past. Re-write. So that person is not your enemy, they are their own person and they're doing their best just like you are. Be kind to yourselves. The universe will be kind back. It's always listening and allowing. I love you all. Let's just be there for each other.

I heard Barbara's life-changing testimony nearly 2 years ago, and I've never forgotten it. So profound in its simplicity; so simple in its profundity! It taught me that I have complete power and control over my own life, which necessarily includes my every thought. In other words, it's not external help that I needed to help remove my negative or destructive thinking. Rather, the power to change my mind and to choose how or what to think is TOTALLY WITHIN ME! So, what am I waiting for? Exercise that power! Why have I been allowing my negative thoughts to seduce me into thinking I am powerless against them? Climbing out of them doesn't necessarily FEEL easy, but it's oh so simple in the end! My life has since followed my change of thinking, and it's turned around 180 degrees! After years of suffering, I never believed it possible, BUT IT IS! Thank you, Barbara! Thank you and God Bless you for sharing your testimony!

I became interested in NDE’s after losing my Mother a couple of years ago. We were very close and I wanted to understand what she may have felt as she was departing this world. Before passing she told me that she was in another realm. Unfortunately she went into a coma soon after and could not share any more of her experiences. My Mother had prophetic dreams and a number of strange and beautiful events occur in the days before she passed which made me understand in retrospect that there was something more to just a physical death of the body that was occurring. Of all the NDE’s I love this message. It is very relatable and passes along an important message about how we interpret what is happening in our lives and how this takes us down the different paths we choose consciously and unconsciously. I am so grateful to have watched this!

I found just embracing the emotion even if it's bad until it passes helps. Resisting seems to make it worse so just imagine a wave washing over you and know it will pass. Deep breathing, grounding techniques, sunlight for vitamin D and activating your vagus nerve are all great. Went thru something similar with ayahuasca ❤ (had a few NDE’s or what were very close to astral projections during shamanic retreats) but for years I focused on the negative that I had experienced also during ayahuasca all because I couldn’t get out of my negative loop and was also shown my thoughts could change my entire life. Fast forward 10 years later I wish I’d realized exactly it faster than I have 😅 but yes! Thoughts! A little thought would make me loop all over again into eternal self hatred when I knew… I knew my thoughts were at the root of my own demise…. Bless you All ❤

I would have chosen to go!! Easy answer. I never had children and two divorces so I felt like I had nothing to leave behind... I'm 63 now and I wish I could have gone home back in 2019 when I was in a coma for two months I'm I went into it late July and woke up at Sept 12 and I ended up going to a nursing home for rehabilitation because I couldn't walk when I got up. So I left nursing home in Nov 8th. My coma I was traveling to different lives I lived and I felt so loved. If only they could have taken me away.😢

Yeah but as the Buddhist perspective says, there is no truth through binary perspective. I hated to hear their carelessness too, but remembered that it allowed her to find her purpose and experience something more beautiful than she ever would've without. We're all doing our part to expand consciousness here on Earth reality. It's hard but makes us shine brighter once we get it 😊 and then we do it over and over until we're these spiritual diamonds 💎💠❤

Thank you! for sharing your experience! your description of the events are so clear that I felt I was watching a movie. My trick to rid off negative looping is ordering my brain to bring up the funniest joke, or photos of puppies, or lovely places I visited or wonderful people I met, etc.. and then the looping is gone. More or less is similar as replacing one thought for another.

Telling someone how much I love them, tell them why you love them, what their presence in your life has meant. What they have taught you. What qualities about them that you cherish. I'm taking notes. I went through a personal crisis in the last three years. And this forced me to analyse myself, and others, and it opened my eyes to how incredibly lucky I am. I have a wife, who I really didn't appreciate as much as I should have. now every day when I wake up, I feel a little excited, that I have this beautiful person in my life, and almost all to myself. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I'm just so grateful to have this incredible person on this journey with me. More and more things are happening like that. I'm noticing how little things are so incredible. Birds singing, the sound of the wind in the trees, the sun, the rain, the clouds, the smell of morning air. I'm soaking it all up like a sponge, like somehow I know my time is limited, and I'm making the most of it. I realised how much I took it all for granted, and how beautiful life is. life is what you make it, and what you make of it, all comes from your perspective towards everything around you.

Thank you for sharing. This is really interesting with how Barbara felt about having a body on earth and that she was excited to be here. I've never heard this before in a NDE. It's great to hear and the things she said about how she liked to exercise with her body and look a leaf, etc. really were nice to hear. It's given me a new thought on this earth life. I've not been too excited to be here vs what I think is on the other side, so to hear this from someone who has been there and who is kind of advocating for this earth life as being great if we let it, it was like sparkles to my ears. Thank you!

I feel like I was meant to watch this today. I told my friend that I don't believe in small miracles anymore. Small things matter, so there are no small miracles. I have been in this loop for so long that I realized I don't even know when it starts and when it begins. I am glad you discovered a method to distance yourself exactly when it's happening. I have been working hard on that. I find yoga helps a lot, but when I'm in this real funk, I don't even go to yoga and everything becomes a catch 22 again. I promised myself to go to yoga more this summer b/c I've put some positive changes in motion and I've realized how much my body is a part of who I am in the world. I'm not saying appearances are everything, but the strength of our bodies does help us project a certain energy. Thank you for sharing your experience. It has brought me new inspiration to not give up. I have seen many videos now that state the only thing that really matters is how we treat each other and all life beings including plants, bugs, animals.

@@mernaloy2269 I had the same struggles. Then I came across info that said the hour prior to falling asleep and the first hour of awakening the mind is in a different state of consciousness. A highly absorbant and therefore vulnerable state. Like a type of hypnotic state. Those two hours are very important ones. Choose only positive influences. Without realizing it, I had trained my mind to be that way by watching, reading and listening to negative influences right up until bedtime and first thing upon awakening. Fearful, negative messages. It took a little while to reroute my neurological pathways by not only avoiding the negative but focusing on all the things I’m grateful for when I first open my eyes. If the negativity is overwhelming I repeat my own mantra of “everythings good everythings great, life is amazing” and it helps calm my mind immediately. I say it outloud if necessary. Apparently our subconscious mind believes whatever it hears as it doesn’t distiguish between whats real and whats imagined or what is sarcasm or a joke. Knowing that info, I have also stopped speaking harshly to myself and/or joking about myself in an unkind manner. Hope this helps. Ur not alone 😊💕

There is a part of me that I'm jealous that you had such a great experience. Lately I've been thinking that I would rather pass away and go and be with the Lord and is happy blessings. I am 68 a male and I feel all that I am here for is to work. I have worked my entire life since I was 14. Now I've been married for last 14 years and it just feels like my life is a living hell. It's just one project after another after another. I do love my wife and I don't stand up for myself. She was in a very bad marriage or her husband told her everything. And I said before I got married that I would never treat her that way. So a lot of this is my own cause. I just don't know how much longer I can do or work as hard as I do. Thank you for your description of the other side and it's good to know that there will be happiness for me.

This story is Golden! A tip for anyone who may be working on deactivating negative thoughts.. As soon as a negative thought comes up, immediately take a very deep breath through your nose, up into your brain (breath of life) & it will immediately raise your thought vibration & you can replace the negative thought with a positive one quickly! Keep practicing this anytime throughout your day, & watch how much better over time your mind will automatically think a positive thought even before the negative one comes in! I hope this may help someone. You are loved beyond words & measure. 😌🙏🏾☮️🧘🏽‍♂️✨
