It must be hard to show that much confidence to such a dangerous powerful creature but that's probably what you have to do. The polar bear is like "Whoa, why is this guy coming at me? He must be dangerous I better get away." Probably won't work if there's cubs around though.

@@sheilat.1987 i would not underestimate people, they can and will do things beyond our wildest immagination, long ago a woman did smear honey on the hands of her 4 y/o son, so she could make nice picts while de bear liked the boys hands, an old guy showed on youtube how he feeds a mama bear with her 2 cobs, yes, in front of his door, this bears will be shot in future for sure,
