Joanna has had a bump on her forehead for 15 years and it is taking a toll on her confidence. She asks Dr. Lee to remove it very carefully so that she won't end up with a scar she hates as much as the lipoma she previously had.

the thing about surgery is there's always a risk. If there's no risk to leaving something in place and there is a risk to trying to remove it, doctors will generally go with the former.

In this case, I'm less concerned that they skipped the surgery than I am that there isn't a follow-up a few weeks later so we could see how hard it is to see the scar...

Happy for her. The bump is 1000 x worse than a scar. Her preoccupation with a potential scar would really concern me, like she'll be upset regardless.

I agree. While this lady seemed nice, she was obviously very vain. You are right, the bump was wayyy worse than a little scar. Scars fade..bumps don't. This might sound kind of mean and rude, but I'm sure most ppl will agree, even if they don't want to admit it...this woman came across as if she thought she was a lot prettier than she really was...

Dr. Lee knows all the right kind and compassionate 🥰words to say. This poor girl was suffering 😢and traumatized and this good doctor took care of her physically and emotionally. Even knowing how to lift her spirits up to happiness. May God in heaven bless Dr. Lee’s hands 👐🏻and give her good things in her future. It means so much more to be a kind person. And I love the girls makeup who had the surgery. I would just die for eyelashes that long.🖖🏼🕊

It really depends on the scar that is left and the person that has the scar. To some, it just doesn't matter. To others a tiny scar is life changing. No ones reason is crap, their reason is their own and it is the best decision they can come to at that time. It isn't what someone else would have done, and it isn't always the best decision to follow, but to her it made sense at that time. We should just be happy she finally got it taken care of.

she thought the scar would be huge. Also don't say someone's reason is crap and try to invalidate their feelings. She was scared. Not every doctor is like Dr. Lee. They don't give a crap about how big the scar is, and won't try to hide it in the natural lines of the face. So, NO her reason was NOT crap.

I have a huge scar on my forehead from a traumatic car accident. There are a lot of other scars too but that one is the biggest. I’d rather have my scar than a bump. I hope she moves on to be very ok with a little scar.

Yeah but you wouldn't rather have a giant ass scar from a doctor that doesn't gaf about how u look. Which is most of the time, unless you have the money to go to a cosmetic doctor, that will do this type of thing. Having a giant scar is permanent. So, waiting until you can get a DR who can do it by making a small incision, def makes sense. Oh and P.S. Clearly the scar was worth it for her, once she was able to get Dr. Lee. So, don't act like she didn't trade off the bump for a scar.

Sadly, most insurance companies consider removal of lypomas and cysts to be cosmetic procedures and won't pay. They don't care about the emotional impacts of them nor the physical toll they create. I'm so glad she got it removed. I think she'll be pleasantly surprised to find the scar will blend into a forehead wrinkle.

There's a perfectly good reason for not demonstrating the actual surgery. I have no idea what that (or those) reasons might be. Dr Lee's own channel provides interesting footage.

What the hell is going on? The minute I fast forwarded it and saw that 2/3rds of the video was hearing about how long she had this bump, I stopped watching it, knowing it wouldn’t show the surgical procedure. I’m done with watching her new videos. If you want real action, you’ll need to watch her older videos or watch a different doctor who performs the same procedures. Check out that British show called Save My Skin.

Yeah, I know what she means re a scare on the face. Almost a year ago, I was told that I had Basel Cell Carcinoma on my face\cheek area. I had surgery & although it's gone, I have a really large scar on the side of my face & have to deal w\it. But, all in all & most importantly...no more cancer.

I know that bumps on a body is something that bothers some peoples . Yes I like that Dr. Pimples. . What about the patient have something can't remove. I have an artificial eye. I do get a lot of stares. I was born with a tumor behind it and had to removed. Also there are people with other issues and have to live with it.I don't want to be deleted from your show. I t is a personal I have to deal with it and accept it.I also have a hearing lost. One thing I can say about it "I can't hear out my right eye and can't see out of my ear." I also belive a person has to laugh at life to survive and that I do.

Well true but many, many people have gone to Drs only to be told they will not do anything cause it is not a harmful lump or bump ( not cancerous) or it is not covered by insurance! In my eyes both positions stink!! These people need help and Dr. Lee helps !!
