@Kush Hazard I think she married my dad because she was used to a very domineering father. We tend to be attracted to what we’re familiar with. She was a knockout when she was young and my dad was kind of goofy. She had absolutely no idea that she was gorgeous.

@Kush Hazard I don't think it's one of earth's wonders, it's quite obvious why people choose to self destruct and it's usually due to trauma. People who have been abused in childhood and teen years tend to go for the same abuse as adults because it's all they know and they don't think they deserve better. Luckily, nowadays people are more in touch with their mental health and can recognize easier that they need help and will probably seek therapy and get out of that pattern of abuse. And let's not blame these women and men who choose abusive relationships, it's not their fault.

What if he asked her to join him for a Hindu prayer? Should she have done it? How about a prayer from the Church of Satan? Should she have accomodated him?

If you don't believe that there's a God, and you wouldn't feel comfortable giving a patient the comfort of a prayer, that would be your right. If she didn't want to join him for a specific prayer to a specific deity, she would have had the right to decline. No one said that she couldn't use her skill to help him. The two things aren't exclusive.

@@gardenofeels6872 This life is temporary. Things happen to everyone that test our faith, our strength, and so much more. I don't know the answer to that, no one does. But the point is to keep our faith strong in God, the Lord Jesus, and remember not to lose sight of His promise of eternal life after this life, and to not put your faith in this world, but in Him. All things will be revealed in the afterlife.

@@gardenofeels6872 Satan doesn't go around giving people diseases. That's due to our fallen human nature. And many times these conditions or crosses being many blessings that a person otherwise would not experience.

Tens of thousands of children die from horrible diseases and terrible accidents every year just in the US alone. Do you think their parents would agree with you that the deaths of their babies are blessings?
