Donna Stepan and her team are truly GREAT HEROES. Thank you for your dedicated loving service to saving these beautiful incredible animals. Wombats remind me of our beautiful beavers and groundhogs that we have in the Americas. My hope is that wombats will not only survive but thrive.

I dont know who is more wonderful, Donna or the Wombats. They are remarkable creatures and she is a remarkable human being. I live in Scotland but hope to visit Australia next year and if so, will apply to spend a day volunteering at Sleepy Burrows Sanctuary and also make a financial contriburion to the great job that Donna does.

So if Mange is caused by a parasite, the parasite must be able to be killed, either on the animal or off the animal, maybe both. Someone, somewhere knows how to do this. I will forward any information I come across.

Very smart to keep the baby womabet near her chest, i fostered a really young baby possum once and the hardest part was to keep heating up water bottles so his temperature would remain stable, i wish i could've thought of putting him inside my jacket near my chest for body warmth. He was released, his sister didn't last the pinky stage unfortunatly.
