As a woman I find the notion that we need government to protect us asinine. The family is G-d's unit of security, NOT the government. As much as America is great in so many ways, this mentality is one reason our family left the country. Outside of the Western world you don't find a lot of the government-solves-all-problems mentality, but actually people see the government as the cause of their problems!
