I would feel guilty, too. I wouldn’t mind buying my kids designer stuff if I could afford them, but the thought of an expensive piece of clothing/ pair of shoes not fitting them in one or two years makes me feel really guilty. Like who’s gonna want them? They don’t worth much once used, especially the children ones. At least if the designer stuff are for an adult/ young adult, I know they will fit for years to come... thereby justifying the high price tag to some extent. Even if I was REALLY rich, I would still feel guilty about it. It’s such a waste!

I remember I used to do this teen job that gave $140 every 1.5 months. I felt so guilty buying even $2 chip bags. I sucked it up and bought my family shampoo when we ran out. I felt so good.

That's good and all but never allow your life to be that way forever and never depend on someone to survive. I'm not sure how young you are, but if you are...you have time and opportunity to build up yourself. Ppl will let you down. I'm not saying to distrust your loved ones, but no you need to be in a position to care for yourself if something were to happen.

Ashley Morecraft I agree with sugar dune. It’s good they’re helping you out and pardon me because I don’t know your circumstances but I hope you try to find opportunities and never settle for less. Don’t let yourself be indebted to someone else if you can help it! ❤️

4,000 a year!? Where do you live?? In my country that's WAY under minimum wage. Unless it's a part time job you mean? I'm only 17and make more than that in 3 months.

Takeaway: Money doesn’t completely take over common sense until after you start making over one million dollars a year.

That's relative to what you're used to though. Project kids will go crazy over 100k a year. That's a million dollars to them.

I actually really like this series, in particular because i feel like my generation was taught to NOT TALK ABOUT MONEY which is highly inconvenient cuz then you know nothing about money. Seeing what women in different professions make is really helpful. Thank you!

Its crazy that women making just over six figures and to some degree somewhat over 200K still feel guilty about buying makeup. Like I'm genuinely surprised bc it's such a huge aspect in the life of the modern woman. It's essentially an essential. Right near 250K+, that goes out the window. Now given that's FU money, I'm pretty sure male counterparts wouldn't feel guilty of the equivalent (if there is one) after making six figures. That's just such a surprise that 250K+ is where the line is drawn, I'd expect it to be much lower.

Aty Steele at her age that would be a starting salary (I hope!). Not sure how it is in the US, but by the time I enter the workplace as a registered psych I’ll be 26. Also if she’s working in the public health sector (opposed to private practice), the earnings definitely aren’t high. I’m definitely not following this profession for the money 😅
