It breaks my heart to see Mirela Demireva (Bulgaria) and Yuliya Levchenko (Ukraine) go out so early (clearing 1.86 for 9th place). Two really lovely and nice women, and great athletes.

Levchenko’s been slipping all year, I’m afraid her glory days are past. It’s understandable considering what they’ve been through. And Demireva is the oldest woman in this competition, my favorite non-Ukrainian, she might be leaping her last bar soon 😩

I love the women high jumpers and the pole vault, ran myself in minor leagues for county in the UK. My heart is still there at my old age but I ride transition in skateparks now triple the age of these athletes.

Congratulations to all the girls participants, their families, and their coaches! They all should be very proud of their accomplishments! Myself, I'm half-Serbian/half-Montenegrin and I'm mighty proud of our girls, too! This is what unites the world - not guns and rockets! I also wish that at least Russian girls weren't banned from international competitions!

The girl at 1:47:33 is clearly my favorite. Even though she didn't win, she's clearly an inch or should I say a toe ahead of the competition. In contrast what my professor said "everything before the 'but' is of lesser importance", I think it's important to dig deep in the but here and discover what's before the but is really prominent. Of course, there are different types of buts, not always big or small buts, but I'm a firm believer that what's in front of the but is often more exciting when you undress the whole situation. 🧐

Vukovic has the makings of a fine jumper, her mechanics are really good but she spends too much time mugging for the camera. If she wants to be a movie star she needs to go to Hollywood. If she wants to be a high jumper she should emulate Mahuchich and pretty much ignore the cameras.

Real winner is Nafi Thiam, she jumped over 198cm carrying an injury & also completed 6 other events & secured Gold. She should be awarded another Gold by European Athletics committee.

А то получается так, что одних не допускают ( Ласицкене, Демидик, Спиридонова и др. ) , а те, кто участвуют в соревнованиях не получают полного удовлетворения от своих побед, так как знают, что победили при не сильнейшем составе конкуренции.

Обращаясь лично к вам я как-то потребовал у вас доказательств того, что она, с ваших слов, поддержала войну. Но вы словно воды в рот набрали, сразу заткнулись и не ответили. А насчёт того, как она относится к войне сказано в её открытом письме Томасу Баху. "Этого не должно быть и никто меня не переубедит в обратном" - буквально выразилась она. Для человека находящегося в статусе военнослужащего, согласитесь, это смелый, но рискованный поступок. Но вам, как я понял, не дано это оценить, вам лишь бы облить её чёрной краской.

Really really weak European championships. The win at only 1,95m and the bronze at only 1,93m. Incredible. I have seen many recent women's high jump competitions on YT and this one stands out as the weakest.
