With a draw of over 500,000 protestors, the Moratorium March on Washington, an immense demonstration and teach-in against the Vietnam War in 1969, took place 49 years ago today.
However, the anti-war movement is only part of the story. Under the guidance of #BCfamily’s Brooklyn College Department of History professor, author, and director of the Brooklyn College Veterans Oral History Project Philip F. Napoli, we take a look at a lesser-known group who played a vital role in the Vietnam War: women veterans.
