Most girls don't wear this kind of makeup, or if they do they use it only for nights out. A normal makeup should take 20-30 mins max.

I did Instagram makeup to my aunt a few years back. I did everything, eyebrows, eyeshadow, contour and concealer. The next morning she told me it was the BEST makeup she ever had. The whole night she only had to reapply the lipstick. Everything else was perfect the night. Since then I've been the family hair and makeup person.

Here's a sequel to this story. That same aunt was invited to a wedding last year. She ask me a month in advance to do her hair and makeup. No backup plan but me. On the day of the wedding, my mom told me to go for an hour to eat their food. Just an hour before the wedding started, my aunt insulted my clothes. Called me an idiot and overall being entitled. When I told her I wasn't going to the wedding she said, fine just make me look perfect. Take a wild guess if I did her made her up. Everyone agreed that it was her fault for insulting me and not having a backup plan. I went to a nice restaurant with my bro and sis.

Whenever I watch the old ladylike videos, I'm always reminded of how Sad used to 'carry' them. I find out of all the girls, she was the best at talking to the audience, and I think that's why her youtube channel has been so successful. I think the other woman in ladylike have developed and become better at this, but Saf for sure had it down pack from day 1.

I really really do not like that makeup look. Maybe i'm to old for that but i always think less is more. A tinted moisturizer is totally enough for most of the days and it makes your skin look so much prettier than oll of that heavy stuff.

Drinking lots of water and sticking to a solid skincare routine that works for you is honestly the best you can do. Thats what im working on rn, cause i typically fall back on makeup and use it as a crutch to cover up blemishes. But i want to get to a point where i can just do brows and lashes and be ready for the day lol. Good luck!!

I think the point of the video is how challenging Instagram make-up is, especially when introduced to people who do not do this on a daily basis. Which is why they had a workshop with an expert, and then they had to include it in their personal time. Everyone would look fabulous with an Instagram if they had 3 hours to do it daily.

I see you're a little short sighted when it comes to seeing things from other people's perspective. Try broadening your mind a bit and you might be able to see how it took them that long. If you still can't see then broaden some more until you realize that not everyone is an expert or even sufficient at everything, especially makeup and condescending comments like that make you sound ignorant.

469ka37 Here's the thing, even as a beginner I didn't take three hours because I wasn't getting paid to sit around and play with makeup. So you can take your condescending comments elsewhere. I only have half an hour to do my makeup, so I make it work within that time. Which is what it seems like a lot of people in the comments agree with.

Well I think she doesn't do all the baking and stuff, eyelashes and eyeshadow. The only think she does (I think) is mascara, foundation, eyeliner, blush, concealer and brows. They did a lot more in this clip

Uhm, being a makeup artist is not about one look. Having completely symmetrical brows and a completely even skin tone is a specific kind of look. Being a makeup artist is about, well, applying makeup as an art, and just as in drawn art, there's differences styles and preferences. Some, when they draw portraits, goes for perfect symmetry, others do not. There's many makeup tutorials out there which encourages people to avoid perfection, because they prefer the asymmetry which exists naturally in our faces and our skin tones.

My brows are naturally very asymmetrical. They're not sisters, they're not cousins, they don't even seem to know each other. If I wanted symmetrical brows, I'd have to completely cover & conceal one, and re-draw it over top. Maybe the makeup artist is the same way.

Even if I had the time to do all that in the morning, I wouldn't. My daily makeup is very minimal: sunscreen, brows, mascara, bronzer and lipstick, gloss or chapstick. I only put a full face on for special occasions but I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it everyday. I wish women would stop judging each other for how much/little makeup they wear.
