I was my dads POA. I had to put him in nursing home because being in my 60s I couldnt take care of him by myself. He had dementia and got to the point that he was having trouble walking. It was a bad experience. I was also his executor. I took care of all his financial affairs. He had a small home, and all his money went to the nursing home. He died, and I went to a lawyer. I wanted everything done by the book and kept all receipts and bank statements, etc. I didnt even take a fee for being POA. I had a sister in the will, and I wanted NO one to be able to accuse me of cheating them. I had to do everything, but split the sale of the home 50/50. It was a job I never wanted, but my mom and dad would be very happy with the way I handled it.😊

God knows us all and how to help us in our wrong he correct us. Sometimes, with harness 😮😢😮

As an estate agent Julia could not have sold the house without the proper owners signature so if she had went forward to sell it and the father was still the only ower of the house then the deal would have been fraudulent and as such it could not been registered by al lawyer in the deeds office.

My mom passed away almost a year ago. My mom left me and my sibblings a bit of money. I would rather have my mom than the money. We also had to sell her home, which was my second home and that was so hard to do. How can anyone be so greedy! I think about my mom every day.

That’s sad. I’d never treat my parents like that. The question is why was he never told. All that drama could have been avoided, if he had been told he was adopted.

One thing that make me wonder, can't police assist or lawyers ad this sons can they look for their own money, but take their parent out of their home just to get money?

Sadly this story is all to familiar out of six children only three truly love us the other three do nothing but talk about what they want when we pass. It’s so hurtful and has spoiled our retirement we can’t believe the depth of greed that some have. The greedy all have good jobs but it seems they want more including all we have including our home. I am praying that we out live them. We are looking into leaving what we have to various charities.

When you admit your father into the nursing home they take everything away from him. He has to sign it all over to them 🤬.after 30 days they own it ALL including his social security check and any property that was in his name.

When my husband got stroke two properties one twin condominium second twin house I did mistake. Give this properties to my daughter verbally I told her twin for my son and condo. I’m going to live with my sick husband I don’t want it. They wait for me until I die to receive this. I thought I am going to enjoy see how they live but now twin house nobody live in is broken she don’t pay taxes condominium on top nobody live downstairs she lives with her dog broken all so she don’t pay taxes. I rent an apartment my son rent and apartment she is a hoarder. She is mentally not stable. I don’t know how take this propertys back my son told Care he will fix it and pay taxes if she make a draft but she don’t do nothing she she going to be out of street soon and we don’t know what to do. I thought she’s going to be a child like a boss for parents, but this is a lesson for everybody don’t don’t don’t until you do right papers for you properties don’t give to children
