Time to update my station.
A few people have asked what Airbrush I was using.
it's
Brand: Lieberwell
Airbrush Kit with Compressor, 30PSI Handheld Mini Cordless Rechargeable Air Brush Set, Portable Dual Action Airbrush with 0.3mm Fluid Tip
From Amazon
So far I'm very happy with it, but keep the paint well thinned down as it's only a battery compressor.
Platform edging printed out from
scalescenes.com. buy and download for good for various jobs and kits.
Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already, it's free.
or just a thumbs up. cheers 👍
If you like, you can follow me on my Facebook page for more of an idea of what I'm upto on the layout.

Darrenbury Central HI like opening sequence. You could do a yellow line on plats. I wouldn't use cork it goes brittle . On the plat brick faces you could put wires like the have. You could weather up the skip. The trains look abd sound v good i thought. You can get anti trespass mats. The lights look v good. You can get packs of graffiti stickers the look good. Try Rymans stationers. Figures look good. I've always liked your shows you explain things well and the layout looks v good. Love the cab cam idea v good, shows layout well.The bridge bottom gap could have some weeds perhaps. Tatty bi 😊

I'm afraid this is now quite old footage as my station has moved on in design quite considerably. Please check out my up to date station builds. Atb Graham 🙂

Hi Graham, thanks for sharing your wonderful work. Yes they say the camera can be cruel, but often they show areas that are great, i think the camera helps identify where the improvements can be made, or hidden. Good luck with the renovations. It will look better than you expect. Well done. 😊🎉

Another great update mate, 1980's trains & stations might of been dirty but the best times in terms of loco hauled trains and sitting on a dirty trolley at Newcastle Central with my little loco book was always great fun.

Hi Graham. You spoke about installating station name signs. Take a looked at Tracksidesigns for personalised OO gauge totem sign plus the metal back plate. Nice work improving the Hornby platform

Hi David thanks for watching. I've put the airbrush I bought in the more tab if you're interested in the same model, but there are loads of them on the market for a variety of prices. Cheers Graham 👍

Not my fault mate, have to get on to the manufacturer about their noise specifications. 😉🤫 But it is a bit loud, still it's a very handy tool. cheers Graham 👍 😁

Hi Graham, another great layout update, the station wall looks great. That airbrush you got looks like a very useful modellers tool, I may even think about weathering some of my rolling stock and track work. The class 87 you purchased from TMC looks fantastic, the weathering makes it look more authentic, did you get a sound chip with it? Look forward to your next update, all the best Graham. Ian

Hi Ian no I didn't get the sound version of the 87, maybe will add sound in time. Wish the price would drop on sound chips, maybe in the future 😕. Not sure about using airbrush for weathering stock, paint needs to be very thinned down really. Start with an old piece of rolling stock would be my advise. Cheers for watching, Graham 👍

Hi Graham, excellent work. I wonder if you’d mind telling me where you got your retaining wall from please. I’m building a similar setup with a main line running high alongside but can’t seem to find a wall tall enough (ideally around 150mm) and yours looks spot on! Cheers, Iain

The retaining wall behind the station is about 110mm from baseboard to the top of the wall. It's made from old hornby 3 way bridge tops and then a matched plasticard brick wall mounted on foam board beneath. I then added matching colour buttresses here and there. A real cut and shunt job, but it works. Had quite a few bridges knocking around from previous builds and you can use both sides. A expensive way to do it if you haven't already got them though. Hope that helps, Cheers Graham

Great stuff thanks Graham - I do have some bits and bobs to play with and some stone wall sheets on their way - guess it’s time to get modelling 👍. Thanks for replying, very much appreciated. Cheers, Iain

Hello. Nice work on your layout. Platform upgrade looks good. I noticed you were using a portal able airbrush. I was just wondering what the make and model was and how you found it from a usability point of you?
@WHP1980s
@WHP1980s Жыл бұрын
Hi Tim it's a Lieberwell Airbrush Kit with Compressor, 30PSI Handheld Mini Cordless Rechargeable Air Brush Set, Portable Dual Action Airbrush with 0.3mm Fluid Tip. Around £60 from Amazon at the moment. There are cheaper but this had a better write up. So far so good, works really well. Just need to keep the paint thin as it's only a tiny compressor. Long term who knows as they are all made in China. Hope that helps. Cheers Graham 👍

Thank you very much indeed Graham. Thoroughly enjoyed that and fantastic work again. I eagerly await the results when you've added the extra touches and detail. It's always nice to see a bit more progress and by the way, what a very nice touch with the back story of the building of the wall. Clever, very clever indeed. Just my thought, I personally would leave the bridge alone, does it need a roof and windows? your call obviously but to me, it fills the brief of keeping with what your trying to achieve. I fully agree with the sentiments of the Graffiti on your wall too. You might want to add the A in a circle, the Anarchy logo, above the punks not dead. I'm fairly positive I've seen other modellers buying sheets of tags from scale model scenery to dot round their layouts too. Last but not least. Love the weathered 87, looks the business. Sorry for the essay but many thanks for sharing and Keep up the great work.
