5 ай бұрынWhat to do with half a tree branch. In this new woodturning video I am woodturning half of a tree branch into a rustic bowl. I used a half inch bowl gouge for most of the turning and finished with a home made round nose scraper. I used friction polish for the finish. It's kind of a rustic square bowl.

Nice job! I found and subscribed to your channel last July after my.leg surgery. I was laid up for a couple of months and unable to turn myself so i got on KZfaq and watched everyone else turning. I have to commend you on your thinking outside the box on your craft items and also ,unless im bad mistaken, on being a left handed woodturner! I will be borrowing some of your craft show item ideas, matter of fact my first show in almost two years comes up next month and i did my first little flower holder with the suction cup on it yesterday. Nice job. I was looking for you to go wider and deeper inside, making this a shallow thin bowl. But where you stopped is lovely. Great job.

Thanks Doug! I'm not very good with bowl's. This is nothing like I had pictured in my head. I can't seem to transfer what's in my head onto the wood. That's probably why I don't like doing bowls that much. Thanks for watching!

Grizzly 25920 is sold out everywhere. I ordered one off Amazon over the weekend. Got a message Tuesday that said it wouldn't be delivered until late May. No thanks.
