This video is dedicated to my viewers as I have reached my 100th video on my channel!
Woodie’s Wash Shack officially opened their 10th Florida location, and I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening. During which, all customers received free washes.
This location was built right off the exit of I-75 and a small private road, surrounded by a Walmart, Zaxby’s, and a movie theater. Gibsonton is built similarly to most of the Woodie’s corporate locations. Two Sonny’s pay station lanes with LPR, a roughly 100’ wash tunnel, and Sonny’s central vacuum areas. The biggest difference is inside the wash tunnel itself. This site is the first to feature an AVW graphic entrance arch, AVW entrance module, and an AVW correlator. Two sets of Sonny’s compact top brushes are featured in this tunnel. Instead of the traditional dual action grill brush, this tunnel features MacNeil Sonics after the second wrap to agitate the wheels before high pressure. This wash runs 100% no prep.

Those “spinning rags” are rinsed in between every car, and the foam material prohibits dirt and other contaminants from being imbedded and causing damage to the vehicle. So to answer your question, people can tolerate this because it’s much safer than any hand wash out there :)

Handwashing has its benefits, and sometimes you can do a better job than some machines. The car wash brushes aren't always the cleanest although it really doesn't matter because of all of the soap applied is very slippery and it basically protects the paint and cleans the brush at the same time as your car. And as he said most these new ones are Neoglide which is very safe compared to the old cloth. Some car washes cheap out and get cloth, which does hold water and dirt, and is generally rougher.

I love the equipment, but it is far from perfect. That Brush at 4:20 basically skipped half the car before doing anything, and so did the next one. Plus the omni was way late on both activating and conturing, I believe because of the speed of the belt, but still could be fixed. Still decent wash though, 7/10

The reason why the he brushes did that, is because it’s called a mirror bump. I believe this is done to prevent the car wash from ripping off mirrors. Only the hint is that they have to fix the timing of the Omni, but this wash is actually pretty good by the looks of it!

This is a mirror retract (that’s what it’s called in the DRB controlled tunnels I’ve worked in) but this tunnel appears to be controlled by Sonny’s own bespoke tunnel computer system so I’m not sure if it’s a fixable thing in this case. I know that with DRB you can adjust where that “retract” happens at.

@@JaydenMania Good to know! I figured it had something to do with the mirror, but i feel like that much of a gap is excessive and would leave a lot of the vehicle untouched. If that isn't adjustable by bespoke then that's insane.. Thanks for that!
