Not heard since July 2021, the Woodpecker Jamming Signal on the 40m ham band, emanating from Cuba, an AmRRON operator in Georgia captured the signal, and was noted by several others. Take a listen.

Thanks for the video. I have put off srtting up for digital modes for far to long, but this is a good reminder. It would be ideal to become proficient before the election campaign gets into full swing.

You just going to throw out a baseless claim, or do you care to explain your position? I'm genuinely interested in what the issues are here, so would love to know what is wrong.

@@redacted2763 The woodpecker signal was 1. Orginated from the DUGA sites that were in the USSR at the time, and 2. we're at far lower frequencies to interfere with any sort of internet infrastructure, even satellite. 3. was that Cuba didn't originate the "Woodpecker Signal," that was the USSR/Russia. 4. Wifi runs on 2.4 Gigahertz to 5.2 Gigahertz frequencies. 5. The "Woodpecker Signal" would only be detectable on Sub-Gigahertz frequencies. The only thing this person has to relate this new "Woodpecker Signal" is by relating the new signal being in the direction of Cuba and other Hispanic/Portuguese states/countries. It's never been confirmed that the signal has come from Cuba, just the direction. If the Woodpecker signal would have interfered with any internet frequencies, even at hundreds of watts, it wouldn't be close enough to the frequencies being used, nor would it interfere with the frequencies being used, for anything to be a problem. Its literally just a noise that is in a VERY small section of the world, which means that the new "Woodpecker Signal" isn't as powerful as what was on the DUGA stations in the 80's and 90's. The Woodpecker signal that was present in the 80's and 90's from the USSR/Russia would interfere with TV signals and Radio signals all around the world, in the U.K., E.U., and the U.S. Within the past year and a half, I have not experienced this "Woodpecker Signal" one time during my radio operations every single night. This guy (the video poster) is absolutely full of fucking shit, and there are the reasons stated why. I have short antennas, long antennas, and station antennas. None of them have given me this signal ever, but they could pick it up in North Carolina???? I don't buy it as I am in Central Texas, so my attenuation and signal should be FAR STRONGER since I am literally closer to the alleged transmission site.

He's right, this video is totally out of touch. If you do a search for "Doghouse RADAR" you'll see just what the Woodpecker actually was.
