Crank : 2.5mm x 3.7mm.
Clutch : 2.5mm x 3.7mm, but sometimes instead, it's 3.0mm x 3.7mm
---
2.5mm/3.0mm = Width
3.7mm = Height (if the key was standing upwards)
10mm = Length
Length doesn't matter. You're not going to find a 2.5mm x 3.7mm key that comes in different lengths. Therefor if the listing only states the width and height, don't worry because it's "standard" that they all come with the same length.

Funny you should mention that. I once dropped x2 - 2.5mm keys in a row on the patio. The other day I looked around to see if they sprouted up, they're still MIA.

Where can i buy Woodruff key size 3mm wide i try auto part store the key size longer

Metric keys aren't stocked at Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowes, or auto parts stores. ACE Hardware sells 2.5mm and 3.0mm keys. I mistakenly bought cheap 2.5mm keys on Amazon, but most were undersized. Instead, I got reliable 2.5mm keys from McMaster-Carr. Woodruff keys require precise sizing to prevent shearing or sliding. A note: 3mm x 3.7mm keys are consistently 9.6mm long. Some listings may round the length to 10mm, but "3.0mm x 3.7mm x 10mm" keys are still correct. This is because the key fits in a 10mm long keyway. Lengths may be listed between 9.5mm and 10mm, but the key itself will always be 9.6mm (unless you're buying some speciality key if it exists, but you'd know ahead of time) Avoid buying "motorized bicycle woodruff keys" at inflated prices. Question, have you ever put the woodruff key in before pulling it through the bearing?

I cannot get it to seat because the keyway is receated just below the shaft bearing.

@@stephenmichaelolney5880 I'm not understanding what you're saying. Put the woodruff key in what? What are you pulling? Get what to seat? Which keyway? I'm missing a lot of context

@MikeNBikes on the clutch basket side I cannot get the woodruff key flush, it's the correct width, however not going in all the way. I was wondering if anyone or you has tried putting the woodruff in behind the basket bearing side first before closing the case?

@@stephenmichaelolney5880 You wouldn't want the woodruff key to be flush. It's a woodruff key, it's not supposed to be flush. A woodruff key flush is about as useless as no woodruff key at all. I'm not being funny or using this moment at your expense, do you know what a woodruff key does?

@MikeNBikes sorry not flush rather maybe too long,I wish I could send a pic I know you've been at this point before. The woodruff key goes in only 3/4 of the way, the key slot is maybe a little less than 2mm under the the flush bearing line
