Sprague Quote of the Day: "Why do I only have one glove on?" Having grown up in the church, I attended many potluck dinners. When you said this is an awesome covered dish at the beginning, it made me chuckle. Ain't no such thing! Until today! Loved the "fossilized fish" swimming in the resin!!

I think it would be interesting to make a globe. The random wood parts being the land areas and a blue and white swirls for ocean and clouds. Maybe make the globe split around the middle so you can lift off the top half to reveal a polished interior. Doesn’t need to match Earth, can be a totally imaginary alien world. 🎉❤

I love it!!! I like that you did the lid as a 2nd piece instead of "cutting it off the top", so much more character. I absolutely love pine cones in resin, there's something almost otherworldly about them. VERY lucky winner!!! I don't think I'd ever be so lucky. 😉

Just a side note as I haven't watched yet - I've been following your videos for a few weeks and I didn't know what a burl was. I finally looked it up! In British English it's a "burr". Got me to thinking about commissioning you to create something from my late brother's tiger eye wood (he was a cabinet maker) and incorporate items from our grandparents' northern place.. from years gone by. Mary is one lucky girl. I like complexity and interesting and this sure has both. What I have been doing with cones, after cutting, is sealing them with lacquer a day ahead of time. I use Alumilite and it sure doesn't like anything damp. I do split the cones on my fine blade bandsaw with a sled. Nice turn, Lee

Gorgeous project! I'm not a pink person but that sparkle, the white ice? It really adds an undeniably beautiful element to the resin and makes it absolutely sing! Whole thing reminds me of like primordial fog rolling through an ancient forest, early morning, sun filtering through throwing that pink glow -- ahhh fantastic! Massive congrats to the winner! Designer epoxy. Lovely dish. Well worth the fight. The pine cones add a lacey look to the dish. I didn't think I would like the colours but I did. I did like the fact that you made a top. That made it special. Great video!

This is an awesome piece, I loved the use of pinecones in it. The resin colors really complemented each other and were beautiful with the wood.

That is a very cool lidded bowl Jim. The pine cones look like fish bone fossils. I was soooo close for the Designer Epoxy draw. Maybe at 100k!
