Woodturning - The Sycamore and Stick Vase

11 ай бұрынStarted this one a couple of months back now, wasnt completely sure when I started it which way I was going to go. Sticks in the end was the answer.
Made from Sycamore, sticks are of an unknown origin but carefully selected by a Labrador.
Finished in a few coats Danish Oil and the Polished using a Beeswax Polish.

Absolutely gorgeous! 🤎 The patience for applying those wood pieces was impressive. Love how you recycled used coffee grounds mixed in the glue for natural coloring. ☕👍

The coffee glue was a surprising addition, I wonder if it smells like grounded coffee too.

You could still smell Coffee until I put the Danish Oil on, not sure once that smell wears off it will start to smell of coffee again.

I couldn't tell if it was a dark or light roast. Hopefully dark roast.

I always love when you use sycamore. I can only imagine the enormous amount of off-screen hours you have doing something like this. It is an absolute centerpiece for any room.

Gloves can snag and also reduce the feel of the chisel which can lead to cuts that are too big for piece being turned her concern is super sweet tho 😊
