A fine toolbox for your fine tools! You did some "out of the box" thinking when you made the removable lid panels of you box! 😁👍😁

That’s one of the nicest tool chests I’ve seen. Very well thought out. I built one about forty years ago that now sits empty in my garage because I didn’t really know what I was doing back then. Have considered renovating it but, I guess out of sentimentality, can’t bring myself to do it. Right now all my woodworking tools are on a tool wall behind my bench.

I appreciate the insight into what you learned about size, and relation to the bench. This will help me in designing mine. I like the simple construction and the basic functionality of use. Thanks

Beautiful box. Love seeing your tools. Thank you for sharing. Got into leather working because I wanted chisel guards. Drawknife guards. It got out of control fast. I am reminded of the curved and slanted tops that discourage one from setting things on top. Flat top is very nice in a small shop because everything is difficult to keep out of the way. I have a saw till box on top of my large toolbox and it works out well because it is light and acts as discouragement to stack more.

Glad to do it. You're right about the flat top. Lots of little things to consider in a shop, aren't there? Take care. Darren

I respect how you look to save the money on the things that can be repurposed so that in the end, resources can be used for the quality tools you enjoy. Those little bits add up. Nice poster and great movie…all those CE movies in that vein were the real deal. I’m not even gonna get started on the tool chest and contents….these things are the window into our souls.

That chisel rack in the lid is a great idea! Easy to get the chisels out of and back into, but also the little twist boards really lock the chisels in securely when it's time to close the lid.

Nice Chest. I like what you have done. I like your tools as well. I have looked at a lot of chests by many different people and see a lot of designs. After all that looking, I decided to go with a tool wall. I don't travel with my tools and I like the wall. Seems to be handier. Keep up the good work.
