Don't you guys think that the reason Kohli is as destructive as he is and as important to the fortunes of the Indian team is that even on the most difficult of surfaces he will covert dot balls to singles , Ones to two's and take three's down to long on and long off on the strength of his running alone. That is practically stealing and you can't defend against that . Because when you come to bat it's no longer that easy to come by runs as it was for Virat. Its a work ethic that I so wish the rest of our team , especially the batters would learn from..

When Sachin gets on to the field the whole nation used to put expectations and watched him. When Sachin was out, the team collapsed like a pack of cards. People used to switch off TVs. The current gen knew nothing about Sachin. Sachin was a phenomenon, an aura! That kind of dependency on Sachin was somewhat reduced by the great captaincy of Sourav with the introduction of young and tough minds like Sehwag & Yuvi. But till Sachin retired, he stood numero uno even after 40. Today no such dependency on Kohli. And lastly, Sachin and Virat played 2011 World Cup. Who scored better in that series between the two? Also Sachin’s debut was in 1989 and till 1994 for about 75+ matches in his initial career he didn’t hit a century. His duty was to hit as much as in the initial overs and in the process he threw his wicket. Kohli is undoubtedly a great batsman, but comparing him to Sachin is just a farce and an insult to the God of Cricket.
