no dudu it's just they have find out that metal soak humidity in the air and rust while if you don't put any iron / metal wood live longer so they make it without screw now a day

So beautiful. The design of the dowels(?) extending on both sides is fantastic. It adds a lot to the overall look of the workbench. 👍 (I'm a steel fabricator, sorry if I used the wrong terms. English is not my first language.)

I love that bench! Spot on joinery too! It looks like you offset the holes to pull each component tight. Most just through drill each pair and cause a loose fit. Props!

Yes, off setting is an often neglected effort. Sharpening the dowels is a must to drive them home

Ah! This is the type of woodworking I was learning to do, before some lowlife stole my entire shop, yep everything much of which had to be broken down to get it out. That was frightening but scarier yet was they took the hard wood , a 4 x 5 x 16 foot supply of oak and walnut ... why that bothered me more I'm not certain ... never could afford to rebuild shop, so that was just a part of life passed. Most of that is short enough that you used pallets could be salvaged and laminated into usable pieces. He obviously used much smaller dimensional lumber and laminated (glued/bonded) it into the pieces you see. It makes the pieces much stronger than a single piece of wood that size.

His other videos show him harvesting the wood using a small sawmill. That would save tons!

No only does every joint fit just right, but the structure is correct and can be disassembled as well. 🇧🇴 Absolutamente increible. Fantástico.

Having watched this guy put it together over time now I marvel at the precision used in it’s construction. Measurements, kerfs, no hardware, etc. yet no wobble of any kind and construction is spot on!! Here’s to Fess tools and the guy using them!!

That's its built really well, solid A space shuttle is one of the heaviest moves so it takes a lot to actually support one and this looks like it is built well enough to do that

You do some phenomenal work! So impressive. 30 years ago I wanted to build rustic furniture. Built a rustic bed and it was gorgeous. But I never obtained a space big enough to have a regular shop in. What you have is awesome, and it's such a pleasure to watch you build cool stuff.
