When I was a PO I worked with many different law enforcement agencies, but I must admit, though, that the OSHP officers impressed me the most! Their professionalism was second to none! 👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Are you waiting for the 160th? I just applied for the class after yours, probably for later this year...been training for the physical fitness exam while they're "reviewing applications".

I joined the Air Force right out of high school SPECIFICALLY to join the OSHP. All that sacrifice to be told that if I’m not a black woman, I don’t stand much of a chance to get in. I waited TWO YEARS after applying to take the test. I worked with a black woman at a county jail in Ohio. She talked to an OSHP recruiter that told her that all she had to do was show up, and she would be in the next academy class. There’s your OSHP priorities; minorities!

@@Trollinskyy I don’t know why I didn’t get a notification of your reply almost a year ago. I am not with the OSHP. I’m now too old, and it appears that the agency is having a hard time with recruitment. I was willing to do whatever it took to become a Trooper, but they didn’t want me. They were more concerned about diversity, and it seems like they’re now paying the price for that.

He is making eye contact and signaling the driver to pull over. Same thing when working airspeed. Plane calls them out and the violator is directed to pull over.

I drive an 20 WHEELER. Ohio has the best , most professional, mannerly and effective Patrol in the nation. They also are physically fit and wear their uniforms as I did as a Marine.....Squared away!!!

Stay out of trouble. Don't steal, don't be a pervert, or do any kind of drugs. Don't hang around criminal activity. Get your cardio in line. Be able to run and complete the necessary pushups and sit-ups. And then some. Get some experience working security for a couple years before you join the academy or police agency.

The only education they require is a high school diploma or GED not sure about diabetes but I do believe they have internships for highschool students

Sebastien Gaming except tickets and traffic laws aren’t really laws. They’re informal rules that are enforced by local police. They’re not federally enforced and are only there to collect money for the state. It’s essentially theft. If they just gave you points on your license and after so many infractions you lost it that’d be one thing but charging someone money for breaking a rule is theft. You don’t pay $10,000 when you murder someone and get out of jail free. No you serve time because it’s a law and punishment is given.

OHP is begging for people just all municipalities are and no one wants the job and it's the same with truck drivers. Educators, police, medical and transportation are occupations that will always be pleading for people.

They act like a military entity, but from what we see they ignore rank to cover up wrong doings. Not to say that they are all evil, but law enforcement is not accountable for their actions. Grandpa said special forces in America, were the same as the death squads in South America. The pictures of the weapons and gear seem to verify his fears.

State troopers sheriff police get to go home every night if no one hurts them. We dont ....we spend months up to over year wondering what pizza hut Burger King taste like.....remember Seattle...portland?
