You're a real one. The alienation of workers from thwir work is one if the biggest tragedies to ever happen

As a mechanic, I totally agree with this, I'm treated as a redheaded step child untill I'm needed, and only then I'm important to the people that can't do my job. Then when they don't need me they go right back to acting like I'm not important. I say to stop fixing things and see how long things run untill thing completely come to a gringing halt. I'd give it 2 weeks!

The problem with this concept is the new generation is actually dping this and they get beaten into submission. The other problem is people gotta earn. 99% of people are at their jobs just because of the shitty paycheck.

The issue wouldn't be a burger and fries costing $50, it would be wages not keeping up to make the burger and fries "expensive". If you flipped houses in the past twenty years, you're part of the problem, you're just not sitting in a board room. As people bought up homes and flipped them, the market heated up not because there were more houses, or the houses were better, but because someone with $300,000 annual income was now looking to flip the first home of someone making $45,000. Same mentality, different scale. "This is a smart economic decision that benefits ME, and that's where my concern ends"

Wages haven't matched inflation in the USA since 1976.

@@thomasfoot3023 So roughly 50 years to see what was happening and do something measurable to address it, just "sitting on our microplastic filled nuts". Cool. At what point is it no longer "The Man" bearing down on the "average American", and people just wanting it to be THEIR turn with the whip?
@AsThe3rdEye8 күн бұрын
@@thomasfoot3023 50 years to do something, in other words. At what point is it obvious that the issue isn't The Man, but that everyone is hoping it's their turn holding the whip?

The minute you put down your tools, set the air brake, or hang up the hard hat, there will be 20 people applying for your job who will work just as hard for less money. They win no matter what. We lose no matter what. He who has the gold makes the rules.

You’re in a union who takes union dues, which is your hard worked money then it gets taxed also or maybe after it’s taxed they take it. Unions became the legal mafia. No kiliing but profits galore.

The class warfare thing is old and discredited, and all coming from a guy that bemoans having to actually work in a well paying union job.
@alfiemcevoy51258 күн бұрын
Class warfare has never been more aggressively participated in, because those with power have found tools to make us incredibly powerless and the neoliberal politics of the 1980s allowed it to happen. Class is more disparate and relevant than ever
@thomasfoot30238 күн бұрын
It's REALLY not. The ownership class; Capitalists, have been in open class warfare with the working class since forever. Pick up a book, reading history. Educate yourself.

I get it. It’s simple. If you don’t enjoy laboring, then you shouldn’t labor and focus on strategizing about preying on people to exploit their labor and parallelize your efforts. Obviously the intention of successful people isn’t to exploit the labor of others, it’s to collaborate with them and grow the ultimate potential of their combined labor. You just don’t seem to enjoy your role… or this was satire.
