Thank you, your video showed me how easy the motor can be repaired and in my case the motor was buzzing but not turning. Turned out the output shaft was siezed in rust and corrosion. DW-40 fixed that. Now my ice cube maker is again making ice cubes. :D

Update for this, dw-40 is not recommended as it puts dirty stains in the water bowl. I noticed upon cleaning that the bowl that this motor turns was cracked around the motor shaft, causing water to leak from the bowl to the motorshaft. This is probably what caused the motorshaft to seize in the first place. I put some silicone into the hole and put the shaft into it. It seems to have worked although its probably glued in there permanently now.

@@randknu1 Actually, WD-40, not DW-40. And I would never use WD-40 around anything that would be used for food or drink. WD-40 is toxic, and it stinks. Any time you need a lubricant/grease that could potentially come in contact with food or drink, always use a food grade lubricant/grease.

I see that you soldered the copper winding wire back to the main supply wire but how did the copper wire winding become unattached? Did a solder joint break or did the winding just break? Where did the wire break, at the solder joint? Thanks for the video 👍

I hv two synchronous motors with same specs but shaft length & shapes are different. One is 15mm D shaped other is 5 mm circular. 5mm shaft motor is not working, I want to remove its shaft & put inside second motor, is it possible to do ?
