St. Anna Of Villa Aroldi! I love her love of animals. They know where to go for help and a free meal. :D I'm not sure if I missed how you came to have Alex working on the villa. Good on you for finding someone capable of doing that work. It exhausts me just watching all that scaffolding set up! Again, I thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of remodeling this wonderful place. It's such a treat to witness.

I really enjoy your channel, but I’m not convinced that guy doing the facade will do the flatness it requires. On another note, the staircase landings you exposed from the air ducts should be absolutely kept original, At all costs, the slenderness of the stairs and landings is superb.
@simonkelly2339
@simonkelly2339 10 ай бұрын
Please don’t box anything in in the stairwell, it would be a crying shame as we say in England. Expose the original lines and find a route for the services that doesn’t compromise the interior, it will be difficult and probably expensive but you and the huose will have to live with it for the next 50 years (hopefully)❤ so it’s worth the cost.
@Tony-InLosAngeles
@Tony-InLosAngeles 10 ай бұрын
My father was a stone mason by trade from Sicily and a plastering contractor after immigrating to the USA I’ve not seen him (the villa plaster) do anything wrong I’ve seen him using a straight edge across the facade; so unless you have done a site inspection and know the trades maybe keep the armchair contractor comments to a positive supportive attitude.
@VillaAroldi
@VillaAroldi 10 ай бұрын
The walls are actually perfectly straight so Im not worried at all about the flatness. As for the staircase landings I rather make that a bit bigger (less than before) than having external fittings for ventilations running through the whole house. There are no other options as we cannot compromise the walls in the house and put them in there.
@simonkelly2339
@simonkelly2339 10 ай бұрын
@@VillaAroldi it’s a tough one isn’t it? With such ornate ceilings in the rooms and hallway, and the stairs and landings being so well crafted where to put the services. Certainly will be a head scratcher to do it sympathetically but I’m sure you have a plan!
