You need a long handle rate or leaf fan rake to help clear the grates

Congratulations! The mayor should learn from you, lol Each manhole should have an indication sign, especially in places where there are floods, so that other good people can help take care of the city, just like you do.

You need a pool skimmer to prevent floaters from clogging the drains while you wait for the water to go down.

You should just pull the grate. The leaves will go down too. Obviously you will have to put it back after the water goes down.

here in Kent England our drains some are full to the top with leaves the council in thanet doesn't bother to come round and clear them no wonder roads are flooded

I wish the city/towns would take care of their storm drainage and update their roads/drainage crates. Alot of people are saying that you should use a rake… I don’t know if you know how or if you know someone that does it, but you should build a reinforce rake that doesn’t break easily and have a reinforce needle to poke through the drainage
