Im still blown away that you can stand AND build on it while the ship is an entity, we were never able to do that with archimedes

@@cockulatorofficial9453 it's part of why I love valkyrien skies. It works so well with physics. That's part of why I use the create add-ons when I can, because it makes building contraptions so much easier

I don’t trust this mod won’t corrupt my world though tbh. Archimedes ships was super stable, so I’m hesitant to touch anything else.

Not sure if there are still blocks in the game that can't occupy the same space as water, making an air pocket that the player can enter. Maybe you could place one of these on top of the wheel so your head is in it?

the mod projects a copy of the build where you assembled it and makes a copy of it WAY beyond the border, which allows you to change the ship however you want without dissassembling it. (i found out from glitches lol)

having a flying base is actually really awesome

Yeah they already have shipwrecks they should have npc ships full of pillagers that raid your base if it’s near water

​​@@funnymonkey3961Well the whole mod is a wee bit ridiculous in multiplayer. I built a massive battleship which also serves as a massive, practically indestructible base. If under attack, it can just flee at high speed. Unless you're doing some kind of roleplay, everyone is going to build something massive and then the fun would be ruined.

I would agree if the world generation was more realistic to have continents

How do you mean? The Elytra is great for quick movements, going long distance if you have the fireworks to keep it up. A full-blown ship is unwieldy. If you want to quickly fly from one area of your base, or a separate building, to another, then the Elytra can do it super easily and fast, where the ship would need to be steered and flown over. They control like tanks, you can't strafe in any way, and turning is limited in speed, regardless of engines. The benefit of ships, I find, is for long-term travel. If you're exploring the world, or want to transport a lot of materials, a ship is your best bet. You can fill it up with chests, have farms, sleep, all safely on board your ship, making it a perfect mobile base. You can also go way, _way_ faster with an Elytra. There seems to be some sort of speed cap on ships, so you can add as many engines as you want, it won't go faster than a set max. It may look fast on the video, but that's just a perspective trick. When you actually play with it, the ships are many many times slower than a properly-handled Elytra.

You need fuel for the engine, which let's the ship go faster. Otherwise it just goes the same speed as the base-game boat

@@blazelazin5752 coal. Not sure the exact usage rates, but it burns continuously - so long as there's coal burning, you get a speed boost. And you can put more engines for more speed

@@cbaltmackie2021 hmm i see, I think that's still underbalanced imo if I want to make this mod a bit more minecrafty. Here's my idea: U need multiple kinds of fuel, Coal/Redstone-for engine to activate and Wind Charges-to move the ship. The duration....I'm not sure but The Coal(Redstone) would burn out as usual and maybe it would burn out much faster for Windcharges. Basically, U need 2(3) fuels running at the same time. A bit complicated Ik but it my idea to make the mod more "balanced".

If you watch the whole video you need the physic plus mod from their patron and you need to do fabric not forge, I don’t think it works on forge

@@jonymanay Yes, use embedium 0.3.12 and make sure to disable these 2 options: (Entity culling) and (Face block culling) Entity disabled will make animated objects visible. Face culling will make the faces of the blocks visible.

Here's the solution, it's a VERY SPECIFIC combination of mod versions, I discovered it by testing each one, I spent hours on it, finally at least I solved it: embedium 0.3.1 + oculus 1.6.15 + valkyriens skies 2.3.0 + eureka 1.5.0

Eureka ships is an add on to Valkyrian Skies.

@@Skycio_PL Well, I have now removed the mod due to some compatibility issues with other mods, but I know I'm on 1.20.1, and if Rubidium doesn't work then try Embedium, the fps isn't as good but us still an option. Hope this helps!

There’s a mod which gives you world templates which might help you.

@@darth3911 I found (survival island) but it has the deficiency that it cannot generate many things on its islands. And then there is Tectonic which is perfect, large islands and large oceans (full of life due to its compatibility with structure mods)

Might be a problem with optifine on some versions. Are you using fabric or forge?

Only way that would happen is if someone added it to the MInecraft play store so Microsoft could make money off the mod, I can't see them just adding it to the game for free.

Do you have mod "kotlin for forge/fabric"? Valkyrian Skys need this mod.
