Awesome, thank you Jon! I've definitely been feeling that the multifaceted nature of Irish deities makes the experience of connecting with them more like connecting with other people. I really like how you've mentioned family, friendships and polyamory as ideas for understanding aspects of relationship with deities better - these were all things that i've been thinking, but i wasn't sure whether it was appropriate. I probably worry too much! Thank you especially for sharing your personal experience in relation to Brighid and the Dagda - hearing that you're thinking of Brighid from perspective of the Dagda has made me realise that i'm kind of thinking of the Dagda from perspective of Brighid. Obviously not in any way equating myself with Brighid! But so far it feels more like sisterly encouragement from her, whereas it's the Dagda who has really inspired my interest in committed service. And also your course, and your videos. Thank you :)

Nice video & question. It's always good to have questions this way you never stop learning. In my experience you can always work or have an understanding with many deities the same with multiple cultures as long as it's done respectively.

Speaking of offerings, how long do you leave them on your altar? How often do you give offerings?

Loved this video although it makes another one in my mind. Given that Pagans of all beliefs often gather and converse with each other, we bump into other pantheons, what is your experience when it comes to interacting with other pantheons? My friend who was from the Norse pagan community recently came to ask me questions about the Morrigan asking about her signs and presence (Linked them to Lora’s videos because they are excellent) but I found it curious about how do different Pantheons kind of co-mingle? I know the Romans when they experienced the Celts just attributed the Celtic pantheons to their own instead of seeing them as an independent pantheon but we definitely don’t do this now recognizing the separate pantheons for what they are and is definitely something I think we should do. Anyway, how should we approach this to not only other cultures but just within the Celtic nations? Have you heard of anyone being called like this?

Me personally I work for An Dagda and Cú roí, but I also have a shrine for An Morrígan simply cuase I work for her husband. It's mainly a respect thing, best way to honor a king, is by giving a gift to his queen, but other than that, ah hey jon can you please do a vid on cú roí, or even talk about some of his stories please.

I like to work with different deities but my primary is Brigid. I have a question about Brigid, what are your thoughts on her representation in the vodou religion?

Hi Stephanie, it's a great question... but a tricky one. We know that many Irish people were sentenced to 'transportation' under the oppression of the penal laws. Many of these people were predominantly taken to Australia or the Caribbean. It is possible that some cultural blending could of course occur from that. Thing is, given that neither Lora or myself are versed in the vodou religion, we tend to steer clear of commenting on information outside our own lane, if that makes sense. Lora has done a video on the difference between Appreciation and Appropriation and that might be worth looking up. GRMA Jon
