He specifically STARTS Phillips and Henderson constantly, it’s a crime how he hasn’t even considered JWP who is so much better than both of them. He’s genuinely worthy of starting for England in that position. Henderson and Phillips shouldn’t even be in the team let alone the starting 11

Can’t even use jack or Phil because that’s more peps tactics rather than there individual skill. So your wings your midfield apart from Jude and your defence is incredibly mid. So it’s a mid team

I disagree with the goalkeepers need to be playing champions league, only because our keepers are playing week in week out against some of the best teams in the world, they are challenged against Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea etc so playing against them is far more higher level than playing Copenhagen, or Celtic etc in the champions league

I agree with you, I think that argument falls apart when you consider the recent world cup. Martinez might not be anything to scream about in the PL but his performance for Argentina last year was historic, and it's happened before where goalies (and other players) rise to the occasion for their country even though they're not at "big" clubs.

Unfortunately as much as I'd love to see England win the Euro I just see Southgate bottling it when we face a tough team. I saw the same mistakes he's made in past tournaments during the last two games against Malta and North Macedonia. He won't take players he should take as he'll pick favourites. He'll play negative football the way through even though it won't suit the majority of the players he'll start, we'll go down a goal and then he'll make some late subs and we'll get knocked out, probably in the quarters. He's done a fantastic job but I think it's time he left and they got someone else in, if that means getting someone foreign then so be it. This obsession that the FA have with Southgate is why we'll probably end up losing possibly the best squad we've had maybe ever and won't have won anything. Also they have this obsession with not pick foreign managers because the last one didn't work out and I also think they want an English manager to win something so people can't say we had to get someone else in to do it for us.

I love that show and especially Ben who I think is a really really nice guy. Love hime! One thing though, you keep saying England is favourite for the European, where does that come from? Is France not qualified? You sound SOOOOO confident that you have all the ingredients to fail ... again I would say. You may have good players (this time ... maybe) BUT, and you know all this better than me, it is absolutely not a victory guaranted. Might not be world class but if you want someone who likes to take risks, cut in, carry the ball to the box… Morgan Gibbs white does that EVERY week. He’s won 2 competitions with England at youth level, and I don’t want to hear “but he plays for Forest”, Pickford plays for Everton who have been relegation fodder for 3 years +. MGW should be in over Henderson or KP.

Talking about the human element of it is interesting because I think one of the big things keeping Southgate in the job is that the players really like him, he makes them very comfortable But js he letting that rule his choices too much?? I think so. There’s no reason Henderson should be in the squad and JWP isn’t. No reason Rashford should be in that squad and Sterling isn’t. And personally I’d of replaced Pickford. Squads have to evolve.

I don't think Pep would suit England or national football unless it's Spain. England should go for Mourinho. The perfect tournament-manager. Still world-class. He is tactically genius and would suit the England-squad. Could set up a good defensive structure and still get the most out of players like Bellingham, Saka and Kane.

Think someones looking at it with their St. Georges tinted glasses on 😂 England beat Iran, Wales & Senegal at the WC. Respectfully, teams they should be beating before losing to France. Sterling got the only goals of the group stage at the home Euros & they avoided Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, France & Belgium before losing to Italy. What's the likelihood of that being the case again? I definitely think England has enough quality players to win something, but clearly something is lacking to get them there. And thats without Southgate picking favourites.
