World Cup 2022 Simulated 100 Times on FM

Жыл бұрынThe World Cup field is set and it is time for us to figure out who is going to win. Football Manager is the most accurate football simulator and we are taking it to the natural extreme around the World Cup in Qatar. We put together a team of people to run a controlled database 100 times, then handed it off to the magical Tyler to put all that raw data into a beautiful spread sheet so it could make sense.
There is more data to come too - Tyler will be providing player data that will be released on the discord, so if you want even more FM World Cup madness then be sure to head there. I am honestly amazed you’re still reading, but I appreciate it, let me find a fancy way to work World Cup 2022 into a sentence so KZfaq knows that is what this video is about. I wish you did this experiment again, taking into account the real squads from each team. FM makes some weird call ups to the NTs so we're simulating a very different scenario

19% is actually lower than Germany's winning percentage so far. Germany played 20 WC tournaments and won 4 times, so that's exactly 20%.

FM only consider the players individual quality. Team with most quality players tend to win any tournament they're in. It never takes into consideration the coach's quality which is an important factor irl.

Yea is so realistic. English players stats are boosted far above everyone. For example, Perišić has Corners: 11 and Crossing 13. Are you fuc*** kidding me? In real life his crosses and corners are so good, if he was English it would be 17 and 18. And also for all other Croatian players for example.

When the first group was announced and it was close to no difference to reality I was so shocked… then as this went on it went as expected, especially with Germany winning in the simulations but not even making it to the quarter finals over Japan 😂🎉

Costa Rica made the quarters in 2014 and lost on penalties in the most bizarre shootout I've ever seen (Tim Krul subbed on as a shock trooper for NL). Canada have a freakishly good crop this year. Neither one making the semis would blow my mind

It hurts me but I think he hid the fact the US didn't win a final. He didn't mention US in the group of non-winners but if you add up the percentage of times countries won the world cup, I don't think they won one.

@@jamesroberts8287 Germany has the second most titles, most finals, most semi finals. Also unbeaten since the Euros, upwards trajectory and usually high performing during tournaments. A slightly less than one out of five tournament wins seems like a fair estimate, also tracks with tournaments so far, since Germany won exactly 20% of the WCs they participated in.
