@@canomalo3662 I have a European Mantle Great Dane and when walking him people always ask what kind of dog is he? I tell them he's actually a mini horse. ;-) I'm tired of explaining why my Dane is built like a tank.

The FCI standard describes the same dog as the AKC, the wording may be a little different but the dog being described is the same. The drift towards certain extremities are fads, just as we see here with these hypertype "Euro" dogs. "Euro" is not an actual term to describe European great danes, it is a byb term describing hypertype dogs, generally from breeding originating in certain European countries.

Do you not love your dogs or look at them as half pet/half possession? Putting a dog to sleep is the worst thing in the world, way worse than when a person dies. A person will do what they want more or less so it's on them. You are the dog's ultimate caretaker and decision maker. No. This is a hyper type . This dog will lose ability to walk. It has obvious eye problems . Danes should be slightly built with muscle . This dog has mastiff in its DNA. They’ve completely ruined the Dane with these hyper types. Do some research on the breed

That could have been Igor's doppelganger. He's got DeLaBenjamin as well as some other Euro in his blood. Igor is really handsome,& that's not just me saying that because he's my dog. When we go 4 walks I'll get at least 3 complements saying how good he looks. He just turned 5(3/29/22) and still looks like a puppy.
