The Access-forbidden walk through the Ghost Island featured in the James Bond 007 Skyfall movie! As requested, here are the LYRICS for "Le miracle de l'amour" French song by Adeyto:

ADEYTO presents rare shots of Gunkanjima. The "Battleship Island" or "Ghost Island" Hashima 端島 is one of the 505 uninhabited islands in the Nagasaki Prefecture about 15 kilometers from Nagasaki itself.
The island was populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility. Mitsubishi bought the island in 1890 and began the project, the aim of which was retrieving coal from undersea mines. They built Japan's first large concrete building (9 stories high), a block of apartments in 1916 to accommodate their burgeoning ranks of workers.
In 1959, the 15-acre island's population reached its peak of 5,259, with a population density of 835 people per hectare (83,500 people/km2). As petroleum replaced coal in Japan in the 1960s, coal mines began shutting down all over the country, and Hashima's mines were no exception. Mitsubishi officially announced the closing of the mine in 1974, and today it is empty and bare, which is why it is called Ghost Island.
The island's most notable features are the abandoned concrete buildings and the sea wall surrounding it. Since the abandoned island has not been maintained, several buildings have already collapsed. Other existing buildings are subject to breakage.
A non-profit organization "The Way to World Heritage Gunkanjima" (represented by Doutoku Sakamoto) is proposing the designation of the Gunkanjima island as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

You guys should understand that during the world war2, many Koreans and Chinese were forced to work in this island and they worked in the most poor conditions, such as working in the deepest mine without safety. Forced laborers couldn't even live in those apartments that you can see in here. Many of them died during the escape. There were horrible war crimes going on sponsored by Mitsubishi at that time.

BOOMERVILE you are correct. I spoke with former residents, nobody was a forced laborer, they were there because it paid damn well and that's the reason they left unimportant things behind as they had enough money to get new ones.

needs preserving as soon as possible .the importance of this small island from histories point is absolutely critical . it wont last much longer by the look of it . I think the dereliction is sad yet achingly beautiful , it sort of puts me in touch with everything and everyone who ever lived , sounds stupid but its the way I feel . it gives a strange feeling of understanding ,of realizing that everything passes , nothing is still everything is in a phase of decay and it reminds us that as humans we have a short time on this planet , its been said many times and its so true . to walk the empty streets of this island, to breathe the air , the scent of the flowers on the vines and to feel the sun , and the sea air must have been wonderful . we all love life , we all fear death , that's the way with all living things great or small . peace to all ...live it while you can .

This is not ghost island. In 1974 coal mining ended of Hashima's. The families in the island were so happy until close coal mining. There were so many children, and elementary school and middle school and high school were provided for them. We can see the document video of gunkanjima as old living document between 100 years. Coal miners pleasure was public bath and pachinko game, water pool and tv.

Until 1974, people of Gunkan-jima had been a family each other. But they had have to leave the island suddenly. The co al miner's children enjoyed together after the school study every day. Children's loud voice did not stop until sun set in every day. It was peaceful island.

That is true, I spoke with people who lived on that island, and they had a good life and actually became rich enough, so when they left the island they didn't need to take with them all the possessions because they had enough money to buy new things for a new life.

Over 500 of South Korean were forced labors for mine industry in this island. About hundreds of people were died out due to the selfishness of Japan. The real glory days of Hashima is from 1910~, even in 1941, 41tons of coal were extracted from this island. Japan regeistered Hashima as a UNESCO without mentioning the period of pain and suffer. This island become a ghost island due to the victimized soul of Korean who were treated unfailry and miserably.

Yes you are right, they can afford to make this place beautiful. But I think, they like to keep it like this, they want to register it as UNESCO Heritage site, to show the decay of human civilization or similar. Maybe they have enough other islands to make them beautiful resort, so this one they enjoy to keep as mystery place only one in the world entire. Many many people pay money to get on the boat and come to see this, as a museum, tough they are not allowed to go inside because they might die if this walls fall down...

Prof Brandon Palmer(historian on Korea) studied almost all documents and articles during Korea was annexed by Japan and explains...【Labor System under Japanese Rule】"calling Japans use of Korean manpower a form of slavery fails on at least three counts:First,it does not account for the choices that Koreans had, whether it be to sign a contract or to change their employment.second, many Koreans recieved pay according to their contract.and third, the experiences of Koreans who worked in Korea are not adequately addressed.scholars who compare Korean wartime experiences to slavery generally limit their analysis to Korean coal miners in Japan, where conditions were worst.there is no question that slavelike conditions existed in some industries;indeed, many unfortunate Koreans(and Japanese) were subjected to severe exploitation and physical and mental abuse, and had no choice but to work without pay,all while living in squalid conditions-but their story is part, not the whole,of Koreas wartime experiences.""the first phase of labor recruitment in Korea was Company-Directed Recruitment(CDR).when direct hiing failed to secure sufficient numbers of workers, companies employed recruiting agents, many of whom were Korean.companies often paid commiddions to gather laborers.for exanple, agents for Hokkaido Coal and Steamer Company who recruited more than five workers in one trip recieved a cash bonus and travel vouchers from the company.recruiting agents were responsible for securing a signed contract between the laborer and the company-in fact,a number of recruiters bribed local officials(with money and women) to gather laborers for them.all too often, recruiters might promise higher weges than would be paid, agree to shorter contracts than were realistic, lie about the nature of the work.""the 1944 LMP brought nealy 300,000 to Japan, but the population grew less than 200,000,indicating a significant flow of Koreans back to Korea.the exodus of Korean labor from Japan suggests that Japanese industries allowed individuals to leave upon the completion of their contract or that scores deserted their workplaces to return to the peninsula.""in Japan, the government administered Korean Workers passports through the Mutual Assistance Society(Kyouwakai).once hired, the worker gave one passport to their employer, who held the passport to prevent the employee from deserting.many companies and workers ignored this system late in the war, allowing for the unofficial movement of Japanese and Korean workers." "when necessary, recruiters promised salaries that were double, even triple, peacetime salaries if recruits went to combat zones.Civilian employees of the military earned salaries between 50 and 120 Won a month-a hefty wage considering that the average policeman earned 18 Won a month, recruiters told young men that it would be better to volunteer and capitalize on the high wages-otherwise they might be conscripted and given a lower wages.this modus operandi indicates that coercion underlay many individuals' dicision to volunteer as civilian employees of the military and as laborers.nevertheless,high-paying positions resulted in competition among Koreans for skilled military civilian positions."

its sheer nonsense that Koreans call Hashima "Hell Island" or "Prison Island" of no return alive. North or South,Koreans exaggerate and fabricate whatever against Japan.like Japan eliminated Korean name and launguege from them.and Karate,Samurai,Ninja,Sushi, and from this year even the Cherry trees in Washington D.C gifted from Japan,S.Koreans allege they are all the Korean origin which Japan stole from Korea. when it comes to Hashima(aka Gunkan-jima=Battleship island by its shape),70% of the labors were Japanese working under the same condition as Koreans.its true the labor environment was so hard some people(both Japanese and Koreans) escaped before the contract finished.but most of them put up with such a heavy work for the high salary(4 times higher than Japanese officers). in 1916, the first reinforced concrete apartment in Japan was built there.next year the first recruitment in Korea was done and 150 were hired. in 1939,Korean households of 500 people willingly immigrated to Hashima(i wonder why they brought wives and kids to Hell Island). accordinng to the human rights organization to support Koreans in Nagasaki, they found the cremation permit.and it revealed all thorough the history of Hashima,122 Koreans died.this number includes the death of disease, and not only labors but also the family. Korean labors who got killed in the accidens at work were only 17 people when total number is 215.this means 198 victims were Japanese. this is because the most dangerous part of work was given to skilled and experienced Japanese coal miners to prevent accident. after 1944,Sep, 200 Korean labors(the then Japanese) were mobilized by the law called National Requition Ordinance. ethnic Japanese rightfully accepted it as the duty.but Ex-Korean Japanese call it "Forced Labor".since they decided to be victims of Japan hiding the fact over 300000 young men volunteered for Japanese army when Japan was leading the war.i would say this gap wont be coverd up forever. Hashima when many people lived. matome.naver.jp/odai/2138397239881040101 grapee.jp/39336
