This was superb. Talk about controversy. Jim Breaks was such a heat getter and Mr Walton helped to heap heat on him too. Excellent :D

Kent Walton was quite right to report breaks leotard pulling to max ward and max was quite right to disqualify breaks and make Jon cortez the winner. Excellent entertainment. From Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.

Great, thanks for posting. Was that Albert Tatlock in the front row! Really & truly, Max Ward should have ignored Kent Walton, and allowed the fall to stand. After all, cheating or not, he was the referee. In fact, this is the only time I have seen Kent intervene in that way.

Fantastic stuff. Watching this as a kid I was appalled at people like Jim Breaks and their antics. Of course what I didn't realise then was how fixed it was, but SO WHAT? This was entertainment at it's best and nobody played the 'heel' as well as people like Jim Breaks, Tally Ho Kaye, Mick McManus, Jackie Pallo and so many others. So sad it is all gone now.

no way were their many fixed bouts; trust me Jim Breaks took a lot of punishment and was in superb athletic condition; Jim knew a ring inside out and was technically gifted and very strong; he was extremely competitive and demonstrated great gamesmanship; Saturday afternoons and nights at the Victoria Hall Stoke on Trent bring back great memories.

Hearing someone compliment Breaks is refreshing. I recently discovered him through the Internet. Thirty years ago, whenever British students visited schools here in America, they would tell me about "World of Sport," and it's even better than they described! I like how Breaks made sure you could hear him squeal when stretched or when he talked trash, yet I also admire his athleticism. He'd been wrestling professionally almost 30 years when this match was taped. To have survived, much less kept in top shape, for that long is impressive. I only wish they would've shown more of that boyish look he'd wear whenever he challenged a ref's judgement!

Technically gifted LOL Headlock, Footlock ,Armlock then his "special". Every match the same from the little big man. Turns out he beat his Mrs. in Spain last year.
