Comedic gold, just what you'd expect from them.

Les was one of the best and a lot of people forget because of jokey wrestling style just what a skilled wrestler he was and one of the toughest men in the wrestling business at that time. He was also a great nurture of new talent and really looked for a lot of young wrestlers when a lot of the more experienced wrestlers around at the time were out to destroy the new talent coming through. Thank you Les.

Mick McManus, Johnny Kwango, Billy 2 Rivers, Jackie Pallow, Jim Breaks, George Kidd, Kendo Nagasaki, Adrian Street. I’m sure people of my age 69, can name a few more from that era. Loved Saturday afternoons watching these guys. Hated Jim ( cry baby ) Breaks, always wanted him to get beat, but he always won with his signature straight arm lift! Great stuff! Thanks for posting.

its a shame that British wrestling will never see such great comedy bouts like this again,

That on top of that it is done in a way that is surprisingly hard despite it being a mostly lighter style of pro wrestling

Kellett was 57 years old here. Great showman. Apparently, he was, out of the ring, the hardest, nastiest bastard in the business.

I have only recently discovered Les Kellett. It is a real pity that wrestling fans in North American never got the chance to see him in action. I would love to have seen him in action against wrestlers from the WWE, AWA, NWA and others.

I remember being a kid watching these guys, there was an old lady lived by herself two doors away without a tv and she used to come in every Saturday to watch the wrestling, she used to sit on the edge of the settee and scream and shout and the bad lads and cheer at the good guys.

This is hilarity at it's finest. My dad always told me about Les Kellett and I feel so gratified now that I have been able to watch some of the matches that he was in.

My late Nanna loved spending Saturday afternoon in the early 70's watching the wrestling, after grafting as a cook at the local school 5 days a week for little pay, I don't care if it's not real, to my Nanna it was and as far as I am concerned wish I could sit with her arm around me just one more time, thanks to all you guys who entertained her in the 70's xx

I don't care if he could be a nasty sod outside the ring (great comics often have a dark side), but Les was a wrestling legend and I love watching him.

Two real characters of the ring. Worked well together to put on a good show. You couldn't look good in the ring if the other guy didn't co-operate. 5:47 Brilliant

This is such a classical match, les Kelley was always hilarious, i have watched this time and time again, and never get tired of it, so funny when les I don’t care and also when he is peeping over the bottom of the ring. Thanks for putting this all time classic on KZfaq

Stewart Chalmers Read The Wrestling by Simon Garfield. Great book about the rise and fall of British wrestling. Les Kellett to all accounts was the nastiest man you could ever meet. A totally different persona to his clowning about in the ring.

I love the announcer putting on his "posh" voice...and the way that Krakow poland was still considered part of the "exotic east" at this time....hence the fancy robe and bald head...lol Never saw a Kellett match that didn't start with him saying..."No...no no...no"...hehehehehe

I have huge respect for British wrestling, but i have no clue how anyone could watch this and have an ounce of doubt that wrestling is scripted after watching it. at least in the US the matches looked reasonably plausible to an untrained eye.
