RU-251? This is by far one of the most money hungry game corporations. Literally the same tank, not even a reskin, just a rename and it counts as a valid tank. That’s like me adding a tank called “American Sherman” next to the normal M4 and it being a premium. GG wargaming

Funny you mentioned that pit. I actually accidentally drove right into it, in my M4, and literally was able to crest up from 3 sides and down and get the gun depression I needed. I can't say I was the most helpful, but did have 6 kills in that game until the last arty one shot my soft top. We still won the game, so ya... that pit.

Just got the hwk 30, trading in my t 50-2 for a bit of a discount and I love it. Being able to pen 320 alpha he shells every 6 seconds with all the usual perks of playing a light tank and it really does feel kind of overpowered.

Love your videos QB. Been watching for years. Can you do a video where you compare normal tanks to their premium counterparts? For example, t-44 and t-44-100, pershing and m46 kr, hwk 12 and hwk 30, etc. You do this when you focus on specific tank reviews but it would be awesome to see a video comparing a lot/ all of them.

Excellent video as always. Don't know if you've said before, but what xvm profile are you using? is it your own custom or can it be downloaded? I really like the colors in the player panels.

Quicky I think you should have compared it to its tier 9 counter part to get an idea of what we're dealing with. Because thats pretty much what it is. A slightly nerfed ru 251a tier lower

i really like my HWK 30 and i appreciate the HE shells more at T8 then T9. The diffrences are subtle yet noticable. If you are top tier tough this thing can easily wreck vehicles with its high penetrating HE shells. i went from 30 APCR 5 HEAT 15 HE shells to 25 APCR 5 HEAT 20 HE shells because i keep using the HE shells to maximum effect. Like the RU251, this is my favorite light tank to chase and hunt down French wheeled light tanks. The biggest weakness of this vehicle is when somebody decides to use HE shells themselves. Your armour is thin and even 76mm shells can do full damage. Really like this tank. Its money well spent. Saddly the grand majority of matches are T10...

Quicky, Im an avid follower of your reviews and play style. I think you are very balanced and fair and a pleasure to watch. My only critique of this last review is that its played from the perspective of a very experience gamer with a top notch crew and equipment and as a result is not a true reflection of the tank. Im average at best with a poor crew and Im getting nailed. This thing has very little camo rating to speak from and I get spotted from the moon. maybe (as a potential suggestion) you could try do a review from an average perspective. Average crew, average everything (obviously not the player of course) just to maybe bring it more in line with what more average players (like myself) can expect. Thank you mate and keep up the incredible work.

Hey Quickybaby, the mantlet of the HWK 30 is spaced armor. HE shells will not penetrate, not even the premium HESH from my FV 4005.

Wheeled vehicles haven't made lights obsolete yet?

If QB had gone to that spot at the beginning of Ghost Town in a match against me he would of had a really short game as i would have unloaded a full clip from my Lorr 40 or Proggetto 46 into him. I know the perfect counter for lights who like to go there. And QB shows exactly why you need to counter that position.

It's better than its non-premium counterparts, but I don't really think it's "OP". I always like to see better light tanks added to the game, because I find light tanks in general to be under-powered, though really I just miss the old RU 251, it was the most fun tank to drive in the game. That crazy russion tier 8 premium light tank is the only one which I think is just too much. It's just way too hard to actually damage.

I think you forgot the factor that the HWK 30 is a large light tank with weak armor. That is a HUGE factor.

Wouldn't be great to equip a Light Spall Liner since it gets absolutely destructed by arty?

I really missed the Ru251 at Tier VIII. It's a great IX, but I just really loved playing it at VIII and the German Bulldog just doesn't quite cut it. I'm really excited to pick this thing up!

Not related to the video; I was happy that I finally got the T-44 a few days ago and I don't have to wait for 5 minutes every time my tank blows up in Frontline, and with a great female crew the tank is at full capacity even though the crew isn't at 100% yet, so it's only getting better from here. Played a few rounds and the tank was great, one game I was even sitting in the open shooting at enemies and my sixth sense was quiet which surprised me. Come today playing in Frontline and the tank is slow and can barely penetrate anything!! I have the second gun not the stock gun and the upgraded radio, everything else is stock and it's horrible. And at this tier all the modules need so much xp to research. Back to the video, good to know that I should load the heat shells for this thing, with my T-44 FL obviously which has the LB gun.

12:31 HE can appear as a massive pen mark if it penetrates spaced armour but just not the armour below its almost certainly that big hole under tha mantlet

i think a solution to this is add intermediate tiers, for example, a prem tier 8 tank which has all around better stats than its normal cp should be tier 8.5 and of coz, tier 8 will have better match up

wow, that was my assessment when i compared it on tanks.gg too... I wouldn't know what to do with it... i already have a black dog, I dont want to stop using it... buying it would be a "sidegrade" for M41 90mm drivers. Still on my short list of tanks to buy though... i suffer from german bias. :-)

it is better RU-251 because it has 10 degrees of gun depression over front, while RU-251 has, only 5.8 degrees over the front, which is massive deal for this tank, and at the same time it is one tier lower.

Hopefully they buff the shell velocity of SP1C and HWK standard so that it doesn't feel shit
