OH MAN! I thought I had caught every instance missing the abominations while playing. That is the one thing I miss each time I play. Geez!!😂 Thanks for the catch. I'll note it. I am glad you like my little random reminders! It really is because I get moving fast and can only handle about 10 1/2 things to remember and most games have 12🤣 I need reminders!! I'm glad my little things make sense to someone besides me! I absolutely agree I prefer this to base pandemic and everything but Fall of Rome...I think this is equal to me but they are different beasts. If it wasn't for the fact that we are introducing people to games that have no videogame/WoW/or fantasy interests, I think I would completely get rid of Pandemic. Although I do like the In the Lab mechanism for curing diseases!! Thanks so much Alec! It is good to be back. Start a new Job Monday so, part of the madness and stress is over, but a new one is just beginning. New job in a new industry (tech sales). @@MeMyselfDice I ended up really enjoying it! This was my first Pandemic-style game so I’m not sure if that factored in my enjoyment but it was great. Maybe people that have played a lot of Pandemic will feel differently but as for me, it gets two thumbs up!

Just so you know, at 32:00 when a heroe is defeated: Discard all cards from hand Advance despair marker twice Place hero on starting space and reset their health to full. Page 9 of rule book. After that, draw 2 cards and continue end of turn rules. Don’t mean to be “that guy.” I really enjoyed your play through, I just wanted to point that out. Great video!

@@SoloBoardGamingKnight see, now that is something that I try to remember. Even as old as pandemic is, there are still people that haven't tried it in the hobby for many reasons. It was one reason I almost didn't get this as I didn't know if my audience would be interested. But I am def. trying to reach new to the hobby and new to solo people as well as us old gamers that have been solo gaming for decades. So that is a validation of my decision and so helpful! I am so glad you found this to be a 2 thumbs up game for you! That is awesome !!!!!!!

@@MeMyselfDice I can't put an number on that but over 2 years ago I bought the original pandemic and I still play it like, once or twice a month. One of my all time favourites and Wrath of the Lick King will join my favourite games. I will get a lot of plays out of this. You can only play 3 quest cards per game and there are 9. 9 reward cards, also only 3 per game. Add different difficulty levels and easy setup to that and I know it will get many plays.

That’s awesome. Yeah I was curious. Pandemic falls on the lighter side of my tastes so it doesn’t hit my table often. That’s not a bad thing (being lighter), but I was curious. That’s awesome that this will get a ton of plays for you. You are right, the way that’s solo has 3 characters out of 9 make for a ton of replayable combos and puzzles. I found that even playing the same 3, the order they go in can play a tad differently. This version deserves to hit my table more than it prob. Will solo, but I think it will get a lot of good play with my kids. I also have the benefit/curse of always needing to move onto a new game in the ever growing pile, so I def. Don’t get as much time to replay games as I would like. That’s something I value is getting a lot of play out of a great game and enjoying the games I have. It’s a balance I am in constant struggle with. 😂 That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing that with me. I am glad you will continue to enjoy this game and that Pandemic is still going strong. ✌️

Thanks Buddy! I agree with all you said. I will piggyback and say, although I’m not the biggest pandemic fan, I am always interested to see how far they can stretch the system. It is a testament to the system that it can be adapted in so many ways and still not feel like a theme is slapped on. And the theme is there and I’m sure even more so for WoW fans! In any case I don’t think it can be argued that the system is brilliant and pandemic will be a classic for a long time. One thing I didn’t mention in the video but thought about is that I think for me, if I were to be asked about this version at this price, I would say that a game with an even more intertwined theme, variable player powers, more variety in setup and gameplay, and does the pandemic “putting out fires and try not to be overrun” better for that same $60-70 price tag I would have to suggest Spirit Island as a better bang for your buck! But it’s one of my all time favs. So I’m a little biased in that. 😄

@@MeMyselfDice I need to get Spirit Island, it's on my must have list. Played the app and watched many playthroughs of it. Feast for Odin is also on that list to get. Im a fan of the legacy pandemic series, but the others haven't really held a spot in my shelf. I highly respect how much the base game can be adapted to other themes like this one. I will also say that I really appreciate it when reviewers give an appropriate review and say that the game isn't for them, and give us viewers a heads up in why you think so. Reviews are personal and you don't always have to give a positive critique on a game. Keep up the great content!

Oh man, the app is so good. I am a play tester on that! Feast is also an excellent game. I haven’t played it in a couple of years but it isn’t leaving my collection. Feast, Fields of Arle, Nusfjord and Haleratau are my fav. UWE games.

I waited for Target's buy 2 get 1 deal. Came out to about 33 bucks which i think is pretty decent for the quality

Hi Greg. Sorry it took me a while. Out of town with a new job. Sorry about that. I don’t have the rules in front of me but you do roll for the heal card, then gain one extra point of healing for the heal card. That is the correct rule according to Rodney’s watch it played video at 13:29 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fLVki9CLprStY4U.html sorry if I played it incorrectly. Did I answer that. @@MeMyselfDice I appreciate it, You're good but the rules do not say to roll to heal anywhere. I watched Rodney's video but he says you can roll to heal but the rules sheet do not say I can roll to heal. Is it an ad in on the Zman games site????? Thanks

So I pulled up the rules. Pg. 7 As a free action, you can play a “Heal” card to allow any hero on your space to do a free rest action that heals 1 additional damage. The Rest Action rule states you roll 2 dice and gain 1 point of healing for every success rolled. The HEAL card simply gives you a free and unrestricted rest action adding an additional point of healing. The callback to the rest action is where the rolling comes from. Does that help. I agree they could have explained that a little better. What you are getting for free (or for the cost of that card) is an extra action (in this case rest) as well as one guaranteed point of healing regardless of your roll. Does that help? -j😀

And just to be clear. Hear is copy and paste of the rest action. rest Roll both dice and heal damage equal to [fist icon]. You cannot rest on a quest space. Enemies do not affect rest actions.

Yes. You can repeat any actions up to 4 times unless specifically mentioned otherwise. Ex: once per turn
