The funny thing is it's just digital goods, they could actually give you good value for your money and it would still be 100% profit for them.

I am a player of the console version of the game, wows legends. It seems to me this game is managed much better, which also includes them publishing loot tables and chances for their containers. Might be worth checking it out for people frustrated with the PC version - at least 3 of my fellow clan mates are ex PC players who enjoy the console version much more.

@@ColrOutOfSpace only for a short while. As the game gains players and popularity you will notice WG slowly shifting their practices. Inch by inch, day by day. Eventually you will reach the scumminess of WoWS PC. And then of WoT. Because this is how F2P games work. They build up their audience first, then milk them later.

They aren't required too as you are not directly spending money on the loot boxes. You are buying tokens to then buy a loot box. That's how they get away with all this Bull crap

​@@MrRadialdrift Not *entirely* true - it depends very much on the jurisdiction you are in. For example, here in AU (just like in the US) casinos don't deal with cash. You exchange your coin for chips and you gamble with those. Even doing this, here in AU, the gambling legislation in most states in forces casinos to publish various things like odds. WG currently skirts around it by being totally foreign hosted but I could see where they will be basically get a mandatory blacklisting if they keep this up and don't pay for gambling license (i.e. the governments way of getting a cut). This has come up in both NSW and Victoria (two of the states of AU), in regard to foreign gambling sites and oddly enough for things like "loot boxes". While AU law can't reach into WG directly, if they don't pull their head in, they will wind up being both financially and electronically blacklisted (in other words, no financial institution will be allowed to transfer money to/from them and there will be technical blocks like DNS bans from the standpoints of ISPs). How soon could that happen ... no idea, but it's a sobering thought that for example they (WG) could keep pulling this crap and then all of a sudden, their servers would just "dissappear" from the perspective of anyone in AU. As far as WG is concerned, AU and NZ are probably just piss-ant jurisdictions so they probably wouldn't even fight it and just accept the hit and accept the ruling in absentia and then the courts would issue the injunctions. More of a concern for WG would be in NA though where they are able to milk that player base a bit more and so there they would have to probably either take the hit or mend their ways (at least a bit) ... unless of course they could just buy a few more US senators (just look to Apple and the US motoring industry as examples of organisations that do this). I'll leave it to you to think on the chances of that ever happening ...

@@brendonmeyer6677 So, what I said was actually, entirely true. They are and will continue to get away with their practices. The Australian market for is meaningless. The low population and player base in Australia won't effect WG in anyway. Remember this is a company that will fix any issue with a CV within days, but take months to fix any issue with any other class of ship in the game.

I think we can take that with a grain of salt seeing as he is on a press account that already has numerous camos unlocked. I don't doubt it (This is Wargaming) but I don't think this is solid enough proof.

They do say that the odds on certain camos are different depending on what type of camo it is (rare/special/unique) . So expect there to be a tiny chance for the better ones. And yes he does have many of them im sure.

If finding the reason why this game still alive, art department probably stand the biggest one.

Agree, perma camos are extremely expensive and over priced. If they reduced the price ill purchase a few for my favorite ships.

@@xter5967 its not like you can actually farm primos tho. You get 60 from daily missions and around 60/day if there is an event running. That is pitiful. If you are F2P you can get a character every 4th character banner if you are unlucky. A new character at around 30% power. Genshin summon rates are pitiful, and if you want to throw some money af it, the return is probably the worst I've ever seen.

Issue is...it isn't real money. It is doubloons. So they can do w.e they want.

And someone apparently did the math on their claim that the summer tokens are equal in value to a doubloon. Survey says! They're worth about 1/10 of a doubloon.

It's a typo!" and expect people to believe that. The same "typo" repeated consistently through WG's history. Puerto Rico, Printz Eitel, and now this.

Do you know what's the problem? Volatile players will always come and go but many players have money and some of them are just as disgusting as WG and love to p2w. So the first type may be enough to "feed" the second type. Whales get more dmg per hit, better rng and are "very lucky". New, free players may not even see these videos and are attracted by the "free" premise of the game. That's why WG let new players basically start at Tier X without having a clue. Just try starting to play WoT as a free player. Soon enough you will realize your purpose is to "entertain" whales. As a game dev, WG is an absolute crap full of schemes.

You don't get to pick. They have to unload all their shit on you, before anything you might want shows up.

Have a good job? And focus on what you want in the game. Don't want everything. I am dutch so I focus on the dutch line. I'll be getting full steps for the de 7 provinciën. People van cry about people spending but I only spend on what I really want. It's not like I got every premium and every early access ship.

These are supposed to be microtransactions. MICROtransactions. Flags and camos should cost fractions of a penny. Permanent camos should cost like 50 cents. Ships themselves should cost like 5-10 bucks, maybe 20 max if you throw in a 21 point captain as well. Why in hell are WOWS players spending hundreds on this game?
