World of Warships has finally added something I have suggested over the past several years: Permanent Camouflage linking. I'll take partial credit for this one, as I think I'm the only creator that specifically asked for this. Now, finally in World of Warships you can take any of your useless camouflage that you like and make it permanent on any ship. For a price of course.

Big deal - new players won't be able to afford a camo that costs as much as a Tier 7 ship. While old players have even forgotten the option for camo exists, and won't even bother buying them either.

Given that camos no longer convey any kind of bonus whatsoever and are purely cosmetic, I fail to see the point.

i dont mind it, gives me somewhere to dump all my extra credits into if i want a ship to look a particular way

i have been sticking with camos like Blue Lagoon or similar in color to try and blend into the ocean color. I believe this makes it a little harder for the enemy team to see the ship features clearly (if they are aiming for a specific area of your hull). I have had some success with Blue Lagoon in most battles. Hmmm this is like it really was in WWII. Good video pal!

They took the idea for the camo change from world of tanks but i think it was a huge economic loss for them in world of warships.

They make you pay for them, then make them useless but turn around and make you buy them back. (Golf clap marketing)

Hey I have like hundreds of camos I heard you can sell them but I don't know how to do that is that actually a thing or not???

You used to be able to sell them but don't know if you still can. Go to your inventory and see if there is a link to sell.

I think that was the issue when the camo held no bonus (lost its value) I just sold all I had, even when rewarded from daily missions etc I have lots of permanent camos that I have won over the years for ships I don't have, it's a pity you cannot sell those as I have 100s of "Cannot Be Sold" Items in my inventory?

Too late on WG's behalf. I've learned to not care about camo, accept that it's 'World of Grey Warships'. Not a whale for WG.

Yes, they implemented it but camo is still worthless. Wargambling listened because it's just another money grab. This was on the list of reasons that World of Warshits is no longer fun. Achieving camos to buff your ship became worthless overnight. I had thousands of great camos earned over a few years of playing but now have lost interest in the game. 💸💸💸🤑😆😂
