Or drag clicking, it can get up to around 200 cps but realistically if ur new to drag clicking u will only get around 30 - 50 cps, it takes some practice

I connected an NE555 timer to my mouse and experimented with various frequencies. I found that around 60Hz, or clicks per second (CPS), is near the mouse's maximum capability because higher signals are treated as a constant signal. I want to express my admiration for the inventive approach of creating such a cool mechanical device, especially after seeing a video where the author made a mechanical clicker using LEGO. It's inspiring to see such creativity in action.

depends on the mouse . a cheap mouse has such low limits , good mice can do 10000

USB HID poll rate is 125hz by default, a full click requires 2 reports so a mouse like this can only really do about 62.5hz. If it's a higher end mouse with 1000hz poll rate, then you could do 500hz, but debouncing is an issue unless it has optical switches or something

@@wescube-sz3lyMaybe you're confused with DPI. Please specify units for the physical values so we know what we're talking about. DPI has nothing in common with clicks per second. It's not impossible to build a device that can register even 10,000 CPS, but in a lab setting, no one adapts this for regular computers due to the price/usability factor. And in my case, it's not about the switch speed in the mouse, because I'm tapping into the mouse's data serial bus.
