I remember the reveal video of Leroy and I thought to myself why would anyone waste their time on a c5 with no body panels. Then he got super charged and I started to get it. Then he got twin turbo. I love how people from texas speed flew in to deliver the headgaskets and supported the no water runs to get the 7s, even the crew at BMSP were helping keep the track optimal to help get this done. Cleet has some good people around him and the future is insane where all this goes.

Just rewatched for the third time since he posted this video and man I still can’t stop smiling at it. That car, this man is freaking savage. Such a great story and he broke the record on a hurt motor, at the limit of every part in that motor, running back to back passes with no coolant. Leroy’s like “just slows me down” lol. I mean who else on this planet can say I have the record for the first GM car in the 7’s and I did it with no coolant in my motor. Just insane. Goes to show that man and machine can do great things together. This is why non car people will never understand us car people, they think that it’s just some car but it’s not just some car to us. When you pour blood, sweat, tears and long frustrating nights into that car it becomes more than a car it becomes part of you and there is and always will be a bond with you and that car. Such an awesome story man. Hell yeah brother, hell yeah. 🤟

I miss the shots of your helmcam which ever cam this was at the time, of you running Leroy down the track this hard. His engine in these videos sounded the best ive ever heard a street turned race car sound. I went to the last Cleetus and Cars in Baytown Tx. Hearing ol Leroy up close is of course no comparison but video wise.. These vids... Leroy sounded like an absolute beast. Cant wait to see more. Hell Yeah Brother! During this pandemic, it was good to watch an old vid from back before all this happened with all the social distancing and what not.. anyways.. always a pleasure to watch your videos, new or old! coming back an watching this video is bringing back memories. I just graduated college and got my first job. I graduate with a biomed engineering degree but watching channels like this influenced me into taking a mechanical engineering job. Since then Ive bought 2 snowmobiles 2 motorcycles a truck and have rebuilt 4 snowmobile engines and 3 motorcycle engines. You dont necessarily get that much mechanical knowledge from the videos but you get the desire to try things out. I have learned a lot because watching these videos has made me go out and learn

I've been going thru the catalogue again. I can truely feel for you Cleetus. Not really experienced with cars but carp fishing gave me similar feelings. I know a lot of the Corvette Fanatics will argue that is not a Corvette, but in reality that is a factory Corvette chassis. Just because you took the body off doesn't make it any less of a Corvette. When it comes down to it you built yourself one bad ass Factory car and beat all the odds!! This is what got me hooked on your channel, this is why we watch. Keep up the great work and the great content my friend. Funny thing is when I'm supposed to be at work building or fixing cars I'm watching you build or fix cars lol. You are one of the main people that motivated me to start a Channel of my own. Just a regular guy building and fixing cars like me. One of the most wholesome and joyful videos on KZfaq. Not to mention the production/editing is top notch. I’ve been watching this channel just before this video was made and despite the age of this post it still captures the determination and passion Cleetus and the team have for their vision.
