Ricky, I love your content and I am a Gold Member of POT. I will be attending the Miles and Pints meetup in Edmonton March 10. I wonder if you would consider adding or even creating another YT channel showing what you do or sights you see at the destinations you go too. It's great to show the flight but I for one would also love to see more of the sights and sounds of the cities or resorts you stay at. Just food for thought? Cheers from Edmonton

Oman Air has created a successful code share with Malaysian on the Kangaroo route from Australia. Popular and good value despite some of the Muscat layovers being lengthy. Thanks for another great video report.

@@nickroberts3658 Cheapest route is via Philippine Airlines to Manila, and then Oman Air: staying two nights in MNL between connections is prudent.

i feel like i've seen more, but at least turkish has a popcorn machine (and cinema) in the lounge. i've got business on oman BKK-MCT-IST and business IST-MCT, first MCT-BKK coming up. i've never been on etihad and wanted to make my outbound on them... but it was easier to find the oman award space and the smaller hop is a better plane... and it is arguably a better product altogether. so i guess etihad will have to wait...

I just try to keep busy and that staves off the jet lag. And try to hit the hotel gym somewhat regularly

We travel to Dubai fire Muscat with Omanair last year and agree with your comment that they are for exceptional value for money in business class. Only disappointment was the in-flight goodie bag, which we thought was a bit of a let down very poor for Omanair..

The only difference would be things like layover times and you have a chef in business class on Gulf. They did an amazing Steak. Really they are equal quality and both are really world class. I've done Emirates First Class on a 380 and 777. These are very comparable apart from the caviar and vintage champagne and the amenity kits.

2 things boss man. Bring your own cigar to the airport and plan on 60 minutes to enjoy a cigar in the lounge. Secondly a boss never wears shorts.

There was in February 2023, I flew BKK-MUS-BAH return. Shorter flights don't have them. You have to ask for the amenity kits.

Just flown on Oman Air today and this is my honest view. Seats are awesome compared with the best, especially the 737. The use of the First Class lounge at Dubai is a great touch complete with champagne you recognise not the usual shampoo only bottled for airlines. The Muscat lounge looks nice but isn’t actually designed to be comfortable, just to look smart at first impressions only. The food & drinks in the Muscat lounge is similar to one of those free lounges complete with a champagne called Lombard? The food on the flights is absolute yuk, and has the poor staff constructing individual plates, resulting in meals being served at such different times and means drinks are rarely served with meal. I received my drink to accompany a meal 20mins after the meal trays were removed. Compared with Gulf Air its not close on the experience. Price was competitive. Oh the cigar lounge is a 15ft room with basic chairs and similar to basic smoking room at other airports.

Ok how about you hear from somepeople who werent impressed, the ones like me who they changed the flight making a 3 hour stop t in Oman to over 13 hours , those who then asked for a free hotel room for them and their partner but only one of us got offered a room told to ask at the airport for the other room on landing........then the partner got thrown out of the now shared room as they coudlnt decide after waiting over an hour at the transit to sort out the second room.......... the ones who had to run through Frankfurt airport as the first flight was dleayed two hours....the ones who had poor service from onboard staff who never even told us "sweets" puddings were available...........and finally who ,lost our bags on arrival for two days.............BUSINESS CLASS 2021 Seat price was £1700 each and on complaining got no apologies for any of that..............fly at your own risk, they dont care

I empathize with you about your experience. I am very fussy and I fly often. I've flown nearly every airline worth naming, and nearly every conceivable Business or First Class product offered. I flew Business Oman BKK-MUS-BAH in February and it was flawless. I booked BKK-MUS-MXP for December this year and I can't wait. World Class and almost First Class service in Business Class. Their airfares out of some airports are absurdly cheap. I am saving about $1,000 over competitors. The only comment I would make to them is that the dining hall is somewhat grim. It's like a cafeteria in a school & chairs make a huge noise whenever anyone pulls one out. It could be so much more pleasant with some thought. The bar is comfortable enough.

Bad Experience with them. They sell services but don't stick to their commitment snd then threaten you. Plus don't answer your complaints. They don't even listen to their own cabin director!!!
