Oman Air Business Class Flight Review - this video promises exactly what's in the tittle.
Join me as I fly from Oman Air's home port of Muscat to Kuala Lumpur on an Oman Air A330 in their epic business class. Whilst relatively unknown compared to the more high profile Gulf carriers Oman Air punches massively above its weight and offers an absolutely first class business class product.
Fantastic cabin crew, dining on demand and the very best business class bed in the sky are just the being of what makes Oman Air such a great choice for business class travellers.
This flight review is the third in a series of Oman Air flight reviews I have made. The first two cover the Boeing 787 business class and the second the Boeing 737 Max8 in economy class.

You're videos have been outstanding lately, Dennis. You've taken your channel to another level. Normally a 2-2-2 business class cabin is a deal breaker for me because of the lack of direct aisle access. I really like how Oman has solved the problem while retaining privacy. I definitely would not hesitate to fly Oman.

I fly KLM international business class quite often, and the one thing I miss is that feeling of… a special experience, I guess. The middle-eastern operators really GET this.

The food looks very filling. Agreed with picking window seats - do this myself. Why? Because we shouldn't ever forget how special it is to be able to fly.

I'm an average bloke who travels about five times a year for holidays but can't afford the premium lifestyle. I give up an elevated mortgage, hefty car payments and debt to see the world, spending all my salary on traveling. I think back to the days reading aircraft mags and getting a glimpse of what first class and premium travel was like and the excitment it engendered. That's why I love this channel. It's exciting and spontaneous - how travel should be. Dennis brings that to us.

Agree, Dennis. Wonderful service and food. Very reasonably priced, an added bonus. Had the good fortune to fly Business into Casablanca and out of Paris in 2019. A standout for me was their freshly squeezed orange juice, and why not have a mimosa, or two, for breakfast?! Yum. Off to Istanbul in a week’s time,and return from Paris on SQ Business class. Cannot wait, even if their orange juice is unlikely to hold a candle to Oman’s!

I agree totally Dennis - 4 years ago did flights through to London - I was blown away with the seat comfort space and privacy as well as the outstanding service and food.

Very nice review, Dennis. The seating is nice, with lots of privacy, but kind of claustrophobic at the window though. Also, an interesting itinerary on your way back to Adelaide. Thanks, your videos are always relaxing for me!

ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL VIDEO Dennis! It looked like one sensational flight! Absolutely stunning especially the excellent looking suite with the privacy panel and excellent straight lie flat bed and to top it all off with those incredible window views, wow! 😮 However it is sad the IFE system including the Wifi didn’t work well if at all and I’m sure flying their 787 Dreamliner must’ve been better than the A330 due to the higher humidity and lower cabin pressure it certainly makes sleep better in the 787! Oman Air 🇴🇲 Business Class looks fantastic and I cannot wait to fly them someday maybe we will both fly with Oman Air and in First Class! 😁 Anyways Cheers Mate! 🥂 Caleb’s Aviation

Thanks again Dennis for a great review. I took this very flight in 2017 after travelling on Oman Air's 878 from Casablanca. The service and food were some of the best I have ever had in the sky. I also transferred in KL to a Malaysian Airways A330 to Melbourne in business. I look forward to your report.

Oman Air has come a long way, I worked for Oman air Catering in early 2000 then flying mostly in Indian Sub Continent with a very basic Menus, but now it seems they have totally over- hauled their services & sectors, keep it up

That jibe might be correct right now but won't fly next year when NZ's new business class product comes online. Actually this 'hostel' class is still on Virgin, Air Canada too. Still the Oman Business class seat design has stood the test of time.

Great video Dennis! I agree that it's a brilliant seat design although I wonder if those more portly passengers may struggle to fit through the gap? Were you buzzing after that many espressos? :-D

A great review Dennis. As you know I am a convert to Omanair from my experience last September. Such an underdog. WY is deserving of much more recognition. I'd go out of my way to fly them anyday over the other ME3 who've bigger reputations and dare I say it, ego. Long for the day Omanair launch their own nonstops to Australasia but meanwhile aussies and kiwis, give em a try on your next trip to Europe. Their fares were comparable and their website lists all AU/NZ ports served by MH and the transfers are pretty seemless in KL (2 flights daily KL to MCT) if you just want to connect straight through but KL is an awesome stopover option as is Oman. And the warmth of Omani hospitality is absolutely genuine..

Nice review Dennis and interesting you like the layout and for a single flyer I think I prefer the one two one layout like on the Qantas A380 I just flew on last week from LA. I do agree re the footwell and try to get row 11 but on the Omar layout the whole space looks narrow. Oh and look forward to your Malaysian review I use to love them particularly on their A380 but my last flight pre Covid was underwhelming and no alcohol in their KL lounge seemed to reflect the change. Travel safe.

Flew Korean Air from Incheon to Mascot around 6 years ago they had the same seating arrangment then, very comfortable in the window seat.

I had not heard of Oman Air and am considering using them on a business class trip to Europe. Your video was the first step in my research, so watched this, and another couple of KZfaq videos which shone a similarly favorable light on Oman. Decided to check TripAdvisor and was surprised to see 12 of the last 17 reviews are scathingly critical one-star reviews.

Loved my flights on Oman Air KL-Paris return, even on the older config A330 with 1-2-1. Service wasn't as polished as Emirates or Qatar but still brilliant. Food was delicious and well presented. I'm surprised you didn't get an amenity kit, when I flew at the beginning of April they handed them out on this flight. Price out of Australia being under A$5K was the icing on the cake.

Definitely my favourite seat, followed closely by QSuite. I believe PJs are available on red-eyes, I got them on the KUL route in December.

After years of being a bit of a joke, especially to their Asian destinations, looks like Oman air have really stepped the game up. That seat looks wider than the majority of business class seats and the legroom was definitely akin to first class on other airlines. Most of all, impressed the food standards have raised so much. If only the European business classes would learn a thing or two…

Well that's just freaky Dennis. Was just looking at flights to Istanbul. Had the phone in my hand and Oman Air came up the cheapest in BC and your notification came up. Looks good. Thanks for posting. Tossing up between Turkey or Japan for Feb next year.

Apex suites are so underrated. I love how it affords so much space for the lower part of your body. I toss when I sleep and I’ve banged my knees a few times turning from my back to side - not so in the Apex suites

Hello dennis ... love your informative you tube reviews. Congratulations ... My husband and I are looking at flying with Oman air from Sydney to Milan april/may 2024 - using TG codeshare on the Syd/Bkk and Bkk/Syd sectors. Would we need to collect our bags and go through immigration at BKK before connecting with the Oman Air flights?

Bangkok to Muscat and now Muscat to Kuala Lumpur. That's like travelling New York to Boston via Los Angeles. You're the second KZfaq reviewer recently to get that seat with the missing window. I do love the length of the beds in that type of seat. The food looked incredible. I have to ask, what brand and model were your glasses?

I used to work in Dubai, 2008-2012 and used Onan Air a number of times, but boy oh boy haven't they come a long way since then. Great video Dennis, my thanks. Many people who had worked in Oman before moving to UAE wanted to go back to Oman, I can understand why!

We flew Oman Business from KL to Paris in February 2020, just as Covid hit the world. Everyone still travelling then and busy as hell. We enjoyed their service and the flight. Unfortunately we were unable to redeem our return journey with them or get a credit once covid came and in 2022 I did contact them and they said no would no give us a trip. Paid a lot of money but so did everyone else back then. Yes I would fly with them again.

I flew Oman from London to Manila on the 787 and wasn't all that impressed. The food was so so and the service fairly indifferent. The lounge at Muscat is excellent though. 👍

No amenity kit? Bad thing is the lack of storage. I really like UA Polaris set up as a hard product or Q suite.

I was on an overnight flight from muscat to Kuala Lumpur, no amenities kit and no pajamas, it seems they don't give these out anymore. No breakfast before arriving Kuala Lumpur.

Great review Denis. With regards to your comment about why more airlines don’t use this seat layout. Their main market is for business travellers. A lot of the time they are of the more portly sized people. (Myself included) and it can be very uncomfortable getting in and out that tight gap. When travelling like this. It puts a bad memory in your mind and you are less likely to book them again. Especially in a world where Qsuites exist 😂😂. Thanks!

What is the cheapest business class flights from Asia to say Paris. Flying out of Adelaide on economy class to Asia and then transferring to business class as the prices for business class from Australiato Asia are an absolute rippoff.

My comments seem to vanish I flew many times from Manchester to Bangkok every 3 months during covid all cancelled they would not give money back office in Manchester closed so went small claims courts. Awards in our favour but still no payment so eventually had send sheriff to Heathrow to get money back . So be aware

Flew Oman business class from London to Bangkok and it was the worst experience in business ever. Seat was broken, and the air stewardess was rude and lazy.

Used to love flying with them, but since they aswell as way too many other airlines have raised their business class prices to outragous prices I have ditched them... Over 100% price adjustment up is not worth that airline tbh
