@@PhoneBucks I am based in Germany and local stores lists it as available by the 3rd of September. I am already own headphones that I would prefer to use. If I recall correctly, those AKG headphones are the Samsung bundle that don't satisfy my bars for quality. The S62 also has bottom facing speakers which is such an oversight.... As you usually don't face the bottom of the phone towards you. I am not sure how loud they are, as it isn't advertised for it - but the S60 needed an EQ to even sound useable. I will not preorder and rather hold back a few days for public and media reviews to identify any flaws.

The S61 is a 2018 based phone, so (compared to other brands) they needed a new model and the Cat S61 was released on Android OS 8 which was upgraded (OTA) with Android OS 9. True: the audio jack is missing out, and we didn't like that too. That's why we give away the free USB-C audio headphones. We want to sell a complete package ;) Regarding the smaller battery: this phone hasn't got the 'sniffer' installed and no laser measurement tool, which both will help draining the battery a little bit. You won't feel the difference. I assume they called this the PRO because of the professional FLIR sensor and the FLIR Professional app which is installed onto the phone. There are not only downsizes: the phone comes with a cheaper price compared to the S61 - even at launch the S62 PRO is cheaper compared the current S61 price.

The S62 PRO gives you longer support regarding updates, comes with a better memory and improved FLIR camera. It's even cheaper compared to the Cat S61 at this moment. So the price of the S61 would drop the coming months (for sure). We just got confirmation that we can start shipping August 17th.

@@PhoneBucks Is there no other pros of buying the s62 pro over the s61? The s61 has a little higher battery capacity and it can also be in double as deep water as the s62 pro. The s61 also has laser and air quality monitor. And as you said the price is probably gonna drop in the coming months.

@@qqq925 Regarding the updates, that's a big pro I think. But the air quality sensor and laser> that's true. Even though you have to calibrate the laser yourself, what means that it's never a 100% accurate, and it can be used only within 8 meters. However the S61 is a great phone, still is. Even the S60 is still a great phone, which can go under water for even 5 meters and we can still deliver them new out of the box. But I think when you compare the S61 vs S62 PRO yourself, that you'll gonna be sold for the S62 PRO ;)

They told me it's the same phone as the s62 without the flir camera. I would just order the s62 pro but not sure on how good it would work with t mobile in the USA. If you have any info about it working in US I would love to here it. Thanks for getting back to me.

@@branden26x Not possible. Then it would be the Cat S52 (that phone is available in Europe as well). We've sold some more Cat S62 PRO to Canada and the US, and the most of them worked. You might need some service from T-Mobile customer support, but it has to work.

Yea that's what I thought about the s52 I guess I could buy it on Amazon and if it don't work I could return it. And just get the cat s61. Thanks again for the feedback 🙂

@@sytn7777 30 meters is okay, when the weather is very cold you can discover someone at 50-60 meters. We couldn't try the cold weather at the moment ;)

The S61 has the measurement tool and air quality tool. We think the S62 has the better thermal spec, and wins with speed, memory, camera and display. It's not a downgrade, it's also bot the successor of the S61. The S62 is a completely different phone 👍

@@PhoneBucks There are too many compromises , old 2018 under clocked processor , smaller battery and the missing sensors , really don’t like the dual sim / memory card slot the phone is big enough to support two sim and memory card , no headphone jack. I’ll wait until the S63. Lets hope the new processor doesn’t suffer the overheating and shut down problems as seen on the CAT S60 and CAT S61.

2018 version had also the memory card using sim slot 2 (unfortunately). About the battery: it's not a downgrade in use (in spec it's less powerful, but in use it's comparable to the S61). Android UI gets more economical by every upgrade, and because the oxygen sensor isn't running, the battery lasts at least as long compared to the S61.

@@PhoneBucks Don’t get me wrong , I’m a big supported of CAT S6x phones they saved me from the boring Apple and Samsung phones but I would describe the CAT S60 as awesome , CAT S61 as mega and the CAT S62 as lacklustre. The VOC sensor is a deal breaker for me due to the industry I work in and I also used the laser measure too. Would be interested if you could do a battery test between the S60,S61 and S62. Also test the S62 with two sims in at 40C 100% humidity and using the GPS outside and see if it locks up and cooks the battery , this was the Achilles heel of my S60 and S61 Cat phones. CAT replaced 5 S60 and 2 S61 for me with a bit of arm twisting. Looking forward to your in-depth review of the new S62, cheers
