I like how the movie got right into the action with only small segments of character building. Some of these doomsday movies get too carried away with personalizing characters and their relationships.

Thought provoking and compelling! Comparable to 'On the Beach' and 'The day after'!

Something about this movie 🎥. I think they did spectacular job of combining real life military footages and acted scenes . I am not sure , but some of the scenes feels too raw to be a movie . It’s really real 😮

The training and live fire videos were cool! That was legit. My favorite part is the final briefing on the helicopter while in route 😳😂 funny how he wasn’t screaming like his life depended on it and everyone heard him. I’ve only ridden on civilian helicopters and it was hard to hear without a headset so I can’t imagine being able to hear anything other then the rotors on a twin rotor tin can. 🙄 I know it’s a movie but I can’t help it this is why my girl hates watching movies with me. Nothing but respect for all our service members past present and future we wouldn’t exist without you much love! 🫡

This was an excellent movie and quite telling, my only criticism was the movie was far to short in length. The Producers could easily fleshed this out to a full 2 hours or more and l am positive the viewing public would have been grateful.

I might watch this but what happened to a ww3? Dud they jump that one and go to ww4? I only ask as after a ww3, there would be nothing left for a ww4. Doesn't make sense to me.

Ironically, the issue with the FBI is quite similar to what happen prior to the terrorist plane attacks at the world trade center. Probably where the producers got it from.

Those OHP frigates are amazingly tough. I've seen SINKEX's done with them and they don't go lightly.

That plot in Baltics is not possible. Nothing goes unspotted on the Baltic Sea, you hijack a fishing boat and you've got like 9 countries going after you.

I like how they use real combat footage from when we were in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iran. And footage they actually filmed for their movie with it and character building.

Any type of war directed to the US is scary on its own, but the enemy has a lot to worry about as well. We need peace in this world as soon as possible, but if not, the United States is ready to deal with any hostilities anywhere on this planet God bless the men or women in the Armed Forces.✝️🇺🇸

11:50 this is definitely a New Zealand road (you can tell by the road marker posts on the side of the road) plus the FBI guys' house in previous scene was kinda typical of construction (ie, the back door) 12:05 that's a NZ registration plate in the car For a low-budget NZ production, it's not too bad really.

Fantastic camera settings, really awesome to watch the esthetic of classical war scenes. This really drew me in. The simple storyline steps back here, which is not so important, as the open mind observes the truth behind today's desinformation by politics and media anyways.

This 'film' is pretty much made of stock footage of the relevant militaries, no actual film work has been done other than a little bit of character-making, this is basically a military recruitment film!

This movie gives me low budget film vibes, however this was a good watch. If it was low budget film very well done. If it wasn’t well than I consider it decent. Not movie theater worthy but also watch on KZfaq worthy.

It's a giant clip show with occasional high school video acting.

my favorite parts are when Jones was talking to the troops on the helo and when 1 soldier "gets shot" by a mini which would literally cut him in half, but he just falls forward. ROFL! and on the helo believe me from experience you can't even hear yourself think without headset and mic on one of those... Sillywood... but the combat footage brought back memories. OohRah!

OMG... the infantry footage is so bad, guys doing room sweeps and ghosting the guy Infront of them, BFA still on the muzzles, but I will give the person credit for looking up all those clips to use, that part was fun to watch.

Looks like it is a possibility with Hamas and Israel to include Twaian and ulkrane. Russia has already been involved about nuclear and china will behave with Russian forces. Figured someone would eventually use some of the footage from desert storm, desert shield, etc. Way to exploit the troops that allow you to sleep peacefully at night.

Funny I figured after World War 3, the next war would be fought with sticks and stones. I feel I am still right. But the movie, even with an unrealistic title, wasn't so bad. lol ;)

I don't get the role of the guy being chased by the FBI. Did he orchestrate the war or he was just watching? If so, why is he doing it?

Not too bad of a film. They had the uniforms wrong for the Marines, no rank insignia, guys in combat with BFAs on, pilots with Kpots on instead of flight helmets, 46s went away years ago. Just little things.

it is late, I have plenty of time and nothing much to do. The length of the review will reflect that. This is not a good film though fairly entertaining. It is a budget film and it shows in many ways that are relatively good and bad. Nothing wrong with a budget film, in fact applause to those involved in such films for taking on the might of Hollywood. I have great respect for them. The Good: 1. Using snippets of US and foreign stock-footage of armed forces (and weapons testing results on decommissioned warships) is quite an effective way of getting 'hardware' on a budget. It was highly inaccurate, disjointed, laughable, and often did not reflect what was happening, but that does not really matter to the casual viewer and it effectively served it's purpose. Having a military advisor would have improved military reality no end though and made it a better film. 2. The nuclear part was well done and was quite chilling in showing civilian populations going about their daily business quite unaware of their fate. The footage of actual nuclear explosions was well chosen and frightening. 3. The fate of the main protagonists was left to the imagination and allowed the viewer to visualise and think about the end of civilisation. 4. Fairly current in terms of world politics though not the predictive film some suggest given the plot line. The Bad: 1. The acting is entirely unconvincing, particularly the main action hero and FBI agent. Granted neither had much to work with, but they were both awkward and stilted, which is forgivable for the FBI agent actor as he has only this film to his credit, but is less forgivable for the action hero actor as he has many films under his belt. 2. Terrible dialogue. Overall the dialogue speaks in clichés, and both action man and FBI investigator seemed to speak in sort of sound bites from other poor-dialogue action films. The dialogue was massively unrealistic, e.g. The action man giving away all of that information to a stranger on the phone claiming to be FBI, and the mother getting a phone call from the son as he about to join the first wave ashore! 3. The action scenes are laughably terrible, such as the action-man-for-all-seasons hero being involved in a very loud and extremely explosive fight for the woodland tree line and then having the enemy airbase 1.5 'clicks' away being completely unaware of it! The Ugly: 1. The film is about the lead up to a nuclear war orchestrated by a shadowy figure within the US hunched over a computer. This plot line brings the film in to the realm of conspiracy theory's and undermines the realism of the film's story arc and any claims to be predictive. it would have been better by far to have shown the progression to nuclear war through current political and geographical realities. This would have required more imagination and thought on how it could happen, but paid dividends for the films narrative. 2. Either intentionally or unintentionally (seems to be a New Zealand film), the film shows the major reason for the progression to nuclear war was the certainty of US that it has the right to be in other people's business and act with unwarrented aggression wherever it likes as a sort of knee-jerk reaction. Since the Vietnam war the US and Western Allies have invaded many countries for no legitimate reason and with poor or disastrous outcomes, apart from maybe expelling occupying forces from Kuwait.

Along with a lot of people who have commented about this film I have to agree that the events depicted are a little to much like the real events happening around the globe right now. This is a very well written and made film, not a typical Hollywood blockbuster but nonetheless a very good film.

Here in the country where I was born and raised, we don't have that kind of warfare. We don't even have the soldiers. If our country goes into war, we will all die. That is very scary. And it is going to happen. And no country will help us. We are alone

This movie is a horror movie. Action? Yea it has action but a world war spreading like this ww3 we are in right now is truly mortifying.I grew up in a military home with guns all around me violent shooting games fps games you name it. A world war this brutal can make even me go insane and make me a brutal killing machine. Scary times people. Boundless terror.
