Orchestra Baobab is a movement. This song is a hymn, a prayer, a feeling. The Baobab were pioneers of African/Afro-Cuban music with their music feeling almost spiritual. This group has had a profound impact on my life and I keep them and their music very very close to my heart.

Actually Orchestra Baobab is a very old band that found itself tragically out of favor due to Youssou N'dour's and Super Diamono' mbalax revolution. Thankfully they were rediscovered

Le Baobab de par sa grandeur et de sa longévité est le reflet de ce Grand Groupe qui a résisté à toutes les intempéries et résiste encore avec l'usure du temps. Chapeau à Ndiouga Dieng, Rudy Gomis, Balla Sidibé, Issa Cissokho, Barthélémy Attiso, Charlie Ndiaye, Thione Seck. Que vos âmes reposent en paix. Du temporel à l'intemporel ( écoutez Déé Mo Woor ) vos notes nous bercent toujours. Longue vie à Bengeloun, Yahya et au jeune Assane Mboup.

je reconnais mon oncle à la guitare au premier plan à gauche. Aujourd'hui AVOCAT à la cour de Lomé Maître Attisso. Il m'a parlé de ce concert, un grand retrouvaille des amis quand il était étudiant au sénégale dans les année 70

Il était en même temps étudiant en droit à l’université de Dakar . Tout le monde se demandait comment il arrivait à faire les deux c’est à dire être musicien et étudiant. Comme on dit tout est bien qui finit bien.

I first heard this track in Greeley, CO back in 2003, when I was still in college. I still go back to that moment... I was broke as shit, but I had no responsibility, no worries. I love this track...

Desculpe esta música é da Guiné-Bissau do artista José Carlos Schwartz com algumas modificações claro a letra refere a Luta da libertação contra o colonialismo Português. Isto não tem nada haver com a história do Senegal. O vocalista do grupo Gomis(Gomes) deve ser de ascendência Guineense(Manjaco) Guiné-Bissau também tem coisas boas tirando política. Merci beaucoup.

Qui peut me faire la traduction de cette musique ça me donne la chair de poule.Quand je l'écoute , je suis à la fois triste, mélancolique et un cœur apaisé. Aujourd'hui, je m'en veux de ne l'avoir pas interpellé le jour où nous nous sommes retrouvés (Rudy Gomis et moi) nez à nez devant la police de Dieuppeul à Dakar pour qu'il m'explique le sens de ce tube Paix à son âme.
